HANCOCK, FREDERICK CLYDE

July 18, 1931 - November 7, 2022

Fred Clyde Hancock was born on July 18th, 1931, the first child of 15 born to Gideon and Grace Hancock. Born into that family were brothers: Willis, Stanley, Frank, Ford, Don, Dennis, Kirby and Bradley. Sisters Winnie, Yvonne, Lillian, Nancy, Ruby, Jean and Barbara. He married the love of his life, Marie Decker, on June 22, 1953, and lived in Roddickton and raised 6 children: Sandra, Debbie, Mark (Morris), Greg, David & Gayle.

He gave his heart to the Lord in 1958 and from then on, he devoted his life to the Lord and his church family. He spent many years assisting as Pastor. Fred worked with the Department of Highways most of his life and retired at the age of 57. Him and Marie enjoyed his retirement years. They built a cabin at Coles Pond and spent many memorable years there until he felt it was too much to maintain. After he sold his home, he moved to the Apostolic Faith cottage which they really enjoyed. His church family was very important to him.

His wife Marie was called to her heavenly home on February 16, 2022. He became very lonely after her passing and his daily wish and prayer was to join her at her heavenly home. He died peacefully surrounded by family on November 7, 2022.

He leaves to cherish memories:
