ELLIOTT, WILBERT WALLACE

Born in St. Anthony on April 18, 1938 to William and Maude Elliott, Wilbert Wallace Elliott passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2016. He married Juanita Taylor on December 3rd, 1960 and together they raised four children: Diane, Peggy, Jackie, and Danny. Wilbert was a hard working fisherman. When he retired, he took to gardening, as well as playing and singing. His music was a great pastime. He also loved berry picking and cutting wood. He leaves to mourn his Wife Juanita; Children- Dianne (Alonzo), Peggy, Jackie (Marshall), and Danny (Ursula); Grandchildren- Ryan, Robbie, Adam, Melissa, Michelle, and Dylan; Great-Grandchildren Tyler and Paige as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Chesley, Ross, Kenneth, Ernest; and his sisters Phyllis, and Hazel. Visitation was held at the United Church in Raleigh from where the funeral took place on January 24, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating.  Internment followed in the United Cemetery in Raleigh. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre's Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

WARD, WILBERT (BILL) ANTHONY

Passed away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony after a heroic battle with illness, Mr. Wilbert (Bill) Anthony Ward, in his 53rd year. Bill leaves behind hes dear wife Joyce, his son Tyler, daughters Robbi-lyn (Sheldon), Hillary (Adam), his mother Johanna, brothers Gerard (Jeanie), Cyril (Judy), Jerome (Shirley), Ed, Ray, Clarence (Trina), Wayne, Clyde, Carl, Dale, Sisters Clara (Allan), Alice (Keith), Lisa (Dave), as well as a vary large circle of family and friends. while not advanced in years, bill still lived to see the loss of his father Felix, brother Ron and Mother in law Carmel. Visitation was held at the Funeral home in St. Anthony, followed by the funeral service, which took place at the Church of the immaculate Conception in Goose Cove at 2:00pm on Wednesday September 10th with Farther Vitus Echedo officiating.
