WHITEWAY, EDWARD

July 23 1951 – July 28 2022 

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edward Whiteway Sr. of St. Julien’s/Main Brook announce his passing at the age of 71 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving partner Bonnie Burton, Stepdaughter Ashley (Sarah), Siblings Lillian (Ed), Anne (Wayne), Gordon (Laverne), Rose (Kevin), Ken (Regina), Daphne (Dwayne), Sharon (Roy), Cora (Jeff), Jason (Krista), sister-in law Jackie as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

He was predeceased by his parents Maude and John, brother Kevin and sisters Phyllis and Joan. 

Big Ed, as he was mainly known, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed visits from Ashley and Sarah. He had a big heart and would give the shirt off his back. His great sense of humor drew people to him. He loved to make people laugh and could cook up a delicious hot Sunday dinner.  

The funeral service will be held on August 1st at 11:00 am in St. Julien’s at the St. William’s Church with Fr George officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres funeral home St Anthony, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.  

WHITEWAY, LOTTIE LOUISE

May 19, 1957 - May 8, 2022

Lottie Louise Whiteway was the first of five children born to Herbert and Emily Patey of Main Brook on May 19, 1957. Lottie met the love of her life when she met Edward Whiteway and they married on June 10, 1978. Together they raised three children, Janice, Trinna and Corey. She was a good mom, but anyone who knew Lottie knew that her six grandchildren meant more than anything else in this world to her. They were dear to her heart and she made sure that every single one of us knew how much she loved us.

On Sunday May 8, 2022 Lottie went home to be with the Lord She will be greatly missed by her Family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

With sad broken hearts and fond memories Lottie Leaves to mourn her Husband, Edward; Daughters, Janice (Kirby Russell) Trent and Lindsay, Trinna (Brian Decker) Kaden and Bree; Son, Corey (Heather) Alisha and Austin; Mom, Emily; Brothers, Tobias (Mona), Amos (Theresa); Sisters, Olive, Vinna (Eddie Boutillier), as well as a large group of Nieces and Nephews, family and friends.

She is predeceased by her Dad, Herbert Patey.

Visitation was held from the Pentecostal Church in Main Brook from where the funeral was held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Skinner officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Alicia Patey, Funeral Director.
