PILGRIM, VELMA BERNICE (Nee Tucker)

Today we honor the life of our dear wife, mother and grandmother. She was a truly amazing woman whom we loved and cherished.

Bernice was born in Ship Cove on October 25, 1944, the oldest child of Annie and William Tucker. She lived with her parents and two younger sisters until she was 16 and then left to work with the Grenfell Mission and attend school in St. Anthony.

While working in St. Anthony she met her life-long partner and future husband, Guy, The two were inseparable and did almost everything together. They were married in 1966 and had on child together.

Bernice loved her flowers and was often seen outside attending her flower beds or in the greenhouse. She also very much enjoyed going to the cabin, berry picking, knitting, and spending quality time with family and friends.

She dedicated her life to her family and making sure they were supported in whatever they did and that they never felt anything other than loved.
