CANNING, SUSIE

April 22, 1943 – October 9, 2023

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Susie Nita Shirley Canning announce her passing at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, NL on October 9, 2023 at the age of 80. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Susie will be remembered for her love for her family and her kindness to everyone. She married the love of her life on June 28, 1961 and they had 5 beautiful children together. She gave her heart to the Lord on July 14, 1974 and was very active in the Apostolic Faith church. She was a member of the choir for 45 years, leader of the youth choir, president of the ladies group and a Sunday school teacher for many years.

She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and had so much love for everyone. She worked very hard for her family and made sure they had everything they needed and wanted. She loved to knit, sew, crochet, bake and cook. She was an awesome seamstress and could make anything from wedding/graduation dresses, quilts or snowmobile seat covers. She made wedding/ birthday/retirement cakes for most everyone in the Englee area. She loved to spend time with her husband berry-picking, gardening and splitting and packing in the wood.

Susie is predeceased by her parents Gordon and Daisy Hopkins; parents-in-law Ivan and Myrtle Canning; Daughter Baby Canning; Sister Betty Randell; Sister-in-law Phyllis Cassell; Brother-in-laws Harrison Canning, Albert Cassell, Winston Fillier & Wilbourn FIllier.

She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of precious memories her Husband Martin; Daughter Linda (Nick); Sons, Bob (Loretta), Barry, Brian (Mavis); Grandchildren Crystal (Jeffery), Cory (Gillian), Tyson (Ashley), Tyler, Tylee (Toby), Robin (Cody), Robert (Cathlyn); Great-grandchildren Blake, Summer, Kayden, Chance, Makenna, Tianna, TJ, Mackynzie, Emmett; Brothers Calvin (Pearl), Wilson (Bertha), Scott (Shirley), Kevin (Dorothy), Guy (Sadie); Sister Joan (Rene); Sister/niece (Vivian); Brother-in-laws Wilson (Lillian), Earl (Hazel); Sister-in-laws, Madonna, Louise, Joan (Grant) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place at the Apostolic Faith Church in Englee on Friday and Saturday October 13 & 14, 2023 at 2:00-4:00 PM & 7:00-9:00 PM. Family Service on Saturday 7:00 PM. Memorial service will take place on Sunday October 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Kirby Hewlett officiating. Interment to follow at the Apostolic Faith Cemetery.

GAULTON, SUSIE

March 2nd, 1935-January 27th, 2019
Passed away January 27th, 2019 from the John M. Gray Center in St. Anthony at the age of 83. She is remembered with love by her family, including children Ivy, Ike (Olive); Grandchildren, Georgette (Martin), Sheena, Rain, Teagan; Sisters, Morvada (Garfield) and Family, Sarah and Family as well as a circle of extended family and friends. Susie was predeceased by her Husband Samuel; Son Melvin; Daughters Gloria and Alva, Parents Reuben and Elizabeth; and Son-in-law Dennis. Visitation was held from St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Savage Cove from where the funeral was held on Thursday, January 31st, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Omar Reyes officiating. Interment followed. NOSEWORTHY, SUSIE DEBORAH

Passed away on November 6, 2016 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital at the age of 85 years. She was born August 1, 1931 to James and Rose Ann Hughes. She leaves to mourn Levi (Audrey), Laud (Sarah), Primus; daughter in law Rosie; five grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren; sisters Millie Macey, Cicley (Don) Dempster as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her Husband Isaac, Son Harvey, and daughters Burnett and Hazarett. Visitation was held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Lower Cove from where the funeral was held on November 9th, 2016 with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. HANCOCK, SUSIE DIETHA

Passed away on June 30, 2016 at the age of 70 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her brother-in-law Melvin (Celie) Wilcox; special niece Valda (Raymond) Hancock; other nieces, nephews, and a large circle of loving relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Levi and Jannetta Hancock and sisters Dorothy Burt, and Evelyn Wilcox. Visitation was held at the Apostolic Faith Church in Roddickton from where the funeral service was held on Sunday, July 3, 2016 with Rev. Rene S. Cassell officiating.
