FOWLER, STELLA

August 15, 1936 - July 15, 2024

It is with great sadness had heaviest hearts that the family of the late Stella Fowler announce her passing in the presence of her family on July 15th at the age of 87 years.

Leaving to mourn with many fond memories are her daughters: Jessie, Joan, Dorothy, Colleen; Sons-in-law: Bob and Al; Grandchildren: David, Michael (Courtney), Andrew, Maurice (Catherine), Cynthia (Matt); Great-grandchildren: Rebel, Zoey, Liv, Emily, Liam, Jackson, Carson; Sister: Jessie Elms; Sister-in-laws: Cora Fowler, Barbara Fowler, Selma Fowler; and Brother-in-law: Gary Fowler.

Stella will be missed but leaves many fun memories behind wither her home league and church families.

Stella was predeceased by her husband: David; Daughter: Glenda; Parents: Benjamin and Joanna Smith; and an infant brother. Also gone before her was her son-in-law: Maurice Gillingham; Brother-in-law: Leonard, Edward, Delano Fowler, Gary Hammond, Raymond Tilley; Sister-in-law: Dorothy Hammond, Gertrude Prahl, and Viola Tilley.

Many thanks go to her devoted caregivers, especially Sheila. The family would also like to express their greatest gratitude for the excellent nursing care she received.

Friends and family are welcomed to the Salvation Army Church in St. Anthony to say “until we meet again” on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 11:00 am with Corps Sg. Major Don Noble officiating. interment to follow in the Salvation Army Cemetery.

Flowers are graciously accepted as well as donations to the Salvation Army Cemetery fund.

EARLE, STELLA FLORENCE

was born to Elijah and Emma Earle on February 20, 1920. She married Thomas Earle in 1938. They were blessed with seven sons and eight daughters. Stella gave her heart to the Lord in 1939. She loved and served the Lord all down through the years. Stella was a woman of prayers and had a passion for Missions. She was a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother; and worked hard raising her family. Stella passed peacefully into the presence of the Loving Lord on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018 at the age of 98 years. She leaves to mourn with tender and loving memories, her sons, Hubert (Winnie), Lloyd, Shawn (Patsy); Daughters, Violet (Arthur) Loder, Jean (Ross) Stevens, Donna (Bradley) Heard, Linda (Curtis) Hillier; Daughter-in-law Elizabeth Earle, as well as 38 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and a large circle of extended family and friends. Stella was predeceased by her parents Elijah and Emma Earle; Husband Thomas Earle; Sons Ronald, Perry, Rodger, Allan; Daughters Beatrice (Manuel), Jessie, Elva, Dulcie; Daughter-in-law Diane Hedderson; Son-in-law Allan Manuel; Granddaughters Betty Quinlan, Cynthia Pilgrim; Brothers William Earle, Hubert Earle; Sisters Beatrice Coles, Elsie Bussey, Mary Eddison, and Phyllis Humby. Visitation was held from the Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet until the funeral on Saturday, March 17th, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Joh Baker officiating. Interment followed. CARPENTER, STELLA MAE

Went to be with the Lord after a brief illness at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on February 10, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Stella was one of 11 children born to Charles and Miriam Simms. She is survived by her daughters Ella (Pearce), Edith (Calvin) Coles, Melva Simms (Alonzo Drover), her son Tobe Carpenter (Juliette Pottinger); Grandchildren Maurice Pilgrim (and family), Mario Pilgrim (and daughter), Kim Byrne (and family), Clay Simms (and family), Brad Coles (and family), Krista Simms (and family), Ronnie Carpenter, and Penney Reid (and family). She was predeceased by her husband Tobias Carpenter 38 years ago as well by her special friend, Raymond Budgell, 20 years ago. Stella was a lifelong resident of St. Anthony and a long-time member of the Bethel Pentecostal Church. She will be greatly missed but leaves us all with a lifetime of treasured memories. Visitation was held at Kerry M Fillatre’s Funeral Home and the Bethel Pentecostal Church (St. Anthony) from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 14th, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Bessey officiating. DAWE, STELLA MARIE

Passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 22nd of January 2013. Mrs. Stella Dawe of Main Brook was in her 89th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her Daughter Elsie(Bernard); Grandchildren Brent(Kiley); Blair; Amy(Chris); Great-Children Sophie; Ella as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her Husband Edward; parents William and Lydia Reid. Visitation was held at the funeral home followed by a short visitation at the St. Paul's Anglican Church in Main Brook, NL from which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on the 25th day of January 2013 with Rev. Harold Harvey officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican cemetery in Main Brook. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre funeral homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard funeral director.
