Elizabeth Sarah Richards was an only child born to Charles Whyatt and Florence Rose of St. Carols. She spent her whole life as a stay at home mother in St. Carol's, devoutly looking after her children and other family members. Forever loved and forever missed by family and friends. She leaves to mourn her Sons, Willis (Shirley), Headley (Faye), Harrison (Judy), Hubert (Barbara), Lester (Viona), David (Jackie); Daughters, Nellie (Richard), Florence (Freeman), and Alma (Wayne); 40 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, and 10 great greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by her Husband, John; Daughters, Nina and Evelyn; Son Glenn; Grandchildren Brian, Tyrone, Janice, Henry, and Christopher. Visitation was held from the Anglican Church in St. Carols from where the funeral was held on October 2, 2019 with Rev. Katie Taylor- Flynn officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.
RICHARDS, HERMAN GLENN
Passed away Sunday, September 17th, 2017 at the age of 50 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his spouse Penny; Daughter Laura and Son Lorne; Grandmother/Mother Elizabeth Richards; Father Ben Denney (Betty), 14 Brothers and Sisters (any their respective families); in-laws Gilbert and Mary Kinsella; cousins, especially Sabrina Whyatt as well as many more extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his Mother Evelyn Denney, nephew Tyrone Burden, Grandfather/Father John Richards, grandparents Elizabeth and Lorenzo Denney and sister in law Lois Johnson. Visitation was held from St. Paul’s Anglican Church in St. Carols until the funeral on Friday, September 22, 2017 from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in St. Anthony at 2:00 pm with Rev. Katie Flynn officiating. Interment followed at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery in St. Carols. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Direcor.
RICHARDS, KEZIAH
Keziah Richards (Nee Saunders) was born Nov. 12, 1924, in Cook's Harbour, NL to George and Diane (Allingham) Saunders. She Was the Third oldest of Six sisters at the age of 12, her mother died. she left Cook's Harbour to live with Clem and Rebecca Richards in St. Carol's, on February 24th 1942, she married Frederick Richards and together they raised five Children and one Grand Child. on April 30th, 2014, Keziah Passed away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on The 30th of April, 2014, she leaves to mourn her husband of 72 years, Frederick, Sons Roy (Chris), Gordon (Margaret), Daughters Shirley (Willis), Faye (Hedley), Judy (Harrison), 17 grand children, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. her sister Elizabeth Dorcas, Half Brothers Fred (Elsie), San (Eliza), Roy (Priscilla), Melvin (Carol), Edgar (Sheila), Half Sisters Joyce, Velma (Morris), and a large number of relatives and friends. she was predeceased by her parents George and Diane Saunders, Sisters Bessie, Helen, Rebecca and Vera, Half Brother Havner, and her step mother Clara. Visitation was held at St. Paul's Anglican Church in St. Carols, From Which The Funeral Service was held at 2:30pm on Sunday May 4th 4, 2014 with Rev. Mark Wilkoff officiating. Burial Followed in the St. Carols Anglican Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton. Siobhan Mauger Funeral Director.
