It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of our beloved Mother Angela Pynn, born November 21 1967, who passed away on the 6th of December after fighting her hardest to over come a traumatic brain injury. Jesus decided she was of more use in heaven, at his side, where she is at peace and no longer suffering. A woman of blind faith in the lord, Angela wasnt without hurdles in life, but that didnt stop her from raising two wonderful boys, now men, Dustin and Donovan. A woman of great morals, no matter the situation, nothing was stopping her from being the best mother she could, whilst still working overtime to attain 3 post graduate degrees, instilling the importance of education on to her kin. Angela is survived by her children, Donovan(melanie)Max, cole, rosie. Dustin and his children Ciara, Caleb, Brothers Wally(keith) terry and andrea and Ivan and his children Jordan Brandon and Gina. The family would like to thank the medical teams at both the health sciences center in St. johns and nurses here at Curtis Hospital . She is laid to rest at the old anglican cemetary along side her mom and dad. A formal service will be held later next year with dates tba

HOUSE, JOSEPHINE DOROTHY
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Josephine House announce her passing on January 23rd, 2023 at the Curtis Memorial Hospital in her 86th year.
Josephine Dorothy House was born August 29th in Englee, NL. She was the first-born child of Patrick and Clarissa Ellsworth. When she was 2 years of age her parents moved to Roddickton. Josephine had 4 children whom she dearly loved and cherished.
Josephine was a businesswoman who ran a small retail store for over 20 years. She loved to read and spent most of her time reading her most cherished book, the Bible.




She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her 3 children Norma (Oliver), Ina and Debbie. Grandchildren: Kelly, Teri, Corey, Karla, Justin, Jenny, Joshua, Niki, Matthew and Megan; Brothers and sisters: Ronald (Hazel), Reginald, Sadie (Roy), Joan, Myer (Denise), Shelia, Colin (Lorinda); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Josephine is predeceased by her parents: Patrick and Clarissa, and her son: Monty.
Funeral Service will take place at Calvary Pentecostal Temple, Roddickton, NL on Saturday January 28th @11am. Pastor Mark Locke Officiating. Visitation at Calvary Pentecostal Temple on Thursday January 26th 7pm-9pm; Friday January 27th 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm.
HUSSEY, MARGARET ANN
Ann was Promoted to Glory at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital, St. Anthony on Saturday, July 30, 2022.
She was born on February 1, 1965 to Sidney and Rita (Earle) Hussey of St. Lunaire–Griquet, NL.
Ann was a social, loving and kind person who loved life. Whether she was at church worship or lying in her bed at the John Gray Centre, she was always contented with her lot in life. Ann became a born-again believer on January 20th, 1991. Ann persevered with a positive attitude despite her deteriorating health.
Ann is predeceased by her Father, Sidney Hussey; brothers Antoine and David.
Left with fond and loving memories are, the love of her life, Terry Noble; Mother, Rita (Eric Saunders); Sisters, Pansy Diamond (Clyde), Verna Hussey (Rod Stone), Blanche Pilgrim (Allan), Joy Biles (Albert), Lillian Randell (Austin), Wanda Lynn Pilgrim (Winston), Ruby Hilliard, Michelle Hussey (Brad Murley), Tanya Tucker (Danny); Brothers Roy (Lucy) and Bruce; best friend, Lisa Boyd, 11 nieces and 12 nephews and 32 great nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her church family.
Visitation to be held at the Salvation Army Church in St. Anthony NL, from where the funeral service is to take place at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 2nd with Majors Austin and Lillian Randell officiating. Burial will follow the service at the United Cemetery in St. Lunaire-Griquet.

POOLE, THOMAS JAMES
Thomas J. Poole was born on September 15th, 1930 to Fredrick and Emma Poole.
He Leaves to mourn his children Cora (Gordon), Bernice (Frank), Victor (Christine), Bessie (Chad), Shawn (Wendy), and Ethel (Pleman). His grandchildren Effie, Dean, Vince, Pauline, Kent, Stacey, Laura, Natalie, Krista, Karla, Ashley, Danny, Nicole, Michelle, Lisa and Cole. His great-grandchildren Danielle, Courtney, Kyle, Shayla, Megan, Alysha, Alana, Taylor, Hannah, Cali, Nathan, Leah, Benjamin, Jack, Ryder, Maddison, Georgia, Bentley and Elsie-Mae. His great-great-grandchildren Logan and Dayna. His sister Ethel (Wilfred), many nieces, nephews and friends.
Tom is predeceased by his wife Elsie, 2 sons Carl and Wallace. 6 brothers Nelson, Earl, Norm, Paul, William and Llewllyn. Two sisters Florence and Shirley. Parents Fredrick and Emma.
Tom met and married the love of his life Elsie Burden on December 27th, 1956. Together they raised eight children. Tom was a hard worker who did the best to provide for his family. Tom had his trials in life when he lost his 23 year old son to a motorcycle accident in 1984. In 1992 he lost a second son, age 30, in a drowning accident, along with his brother, age 59. Then in September 1999 he lost his wife, age 60. All the tragedies made him stronger, he never gave up and stayed strong to the end.

HOSTETTER, JEANETTE MAE
Jeanette Hostetter was born on February 14, 1932 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She grew up there and received her education. After completing high school she entered nurses training graduating as a Registered Nurse. In 1957 she came to work here in St. Anthony at the IGA hospital. She worked here, leaving for a short time and returning in the early 1960's, working again in the hospital where she completed her nursing career. Jeanette worked in a variety of positions from head nurse to finally working as the eye clinic nurse. Jeanette was a faithful member St. Anthony First United Church as well as the UCW and the Curtis Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed travelling and keeping in touch with her friends and keeping abreast of current events. On January 30th she passed peacefully away at the Curtis Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her niece Sharon Fox her nephew Stephen Hostetter, as well as many colleagues and friends. She will be sadly missed. A Memorial Service for Janette was held at Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home in St. Anthony at 2:00 pm on Monday February 14th, 2022 with Rev. John McGonigle Officiating, burial service will take place at a later date in her home town in Pennsylvania USA.
MCGRATH, GENEVIEVE DORCAS
Genevieve Dorcas McGrath of Grandois, born on July 5, 1938 to Ambrose and Isabella McGrath (nee Bromley). Gen passed away peacefully on March 26, 2020 at the John M. Grey Centre at the age of 81. Gen had a love of crochet and quilt making, and loved a good game of darts or bingo in her younger years. Leaving to mourn is her brother Ambrose (Maureen), sister in law’s Nora, Ida and Doreen, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Gen was predeceased by her parents, Ambrose and Isabella McGrath, brothers John Joe, Leo and Timothy, sister Maude Whiteway, and brother in law John Whiteway. At the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will schedule a memorial service at a later date this year. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff of the John M. Grey Centre for the kindness they have shown to her and our family during her time there.
