RUMBOLT, ARTHUR MICHAEL

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Arthur Rumbolt age 84, of Castor River South on June 17, 2022 at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony surrounded by his loving wife of 62 years (Clara) and all of his loving family.

Art was born on St. John's Island on July 29, 1937 to Lawerence Rumbolt and Jane Gaulton (pre deceased).

He married the love of his life Clara Tatchell on July 26, 1959 and started their family in December 1960.

Art was a very hard working man. He fished along side his brother Lawerence until he retired.

He loved to visit his cabin and go sight seeing for moose, he spent lots of time at the gardens, wood, lawn and berry picking. Although this wasn't his favourite thing to do (LOL), he always went along with his wife. He loved playing cards, especially a good game of poker and spending time with his family.

His family and wife were everything to him. He was a very devoted husband, dad and pop. He loved to see his family visit. He has many fond memories of the time they have shared.

He is survived by his four sons Lyman (Edna) Rumbolt, Luke (Theresa) Rumbolt, Jim (Phyllis) Rumbolt, Stewart (Jessie) Rumbolt. His four daughters Eliza (Stewart) Tatchell, Alva (George) Tatchell, Velma Rumbolt, Vina (Tony) Plowman.

Grandchildren Linda (Dion) Caines, Marvin (Terra-Lynn) Tatchell, Joshua (Kim) Tatchell, Lyman jr. (Sabrina) White, Mindy (Blake) Skappak, Kendra (Kerry) Plowman, Kandice Plowman and Reid Myers.

Great grandchildren Colby Baines, Carly Tatchell, Brielle Rumbolt, Marian Rumbolt, Adrian Rumbolt and Lincoln Skappak, And a large circle of family and friends

Art was brother to Ralph (Laura) Gaulton (pre deceased), Lawrence (Rebecca) Rumbolt, John Genneaux (pre deceased), Frank (Irene) Rumbolt, Cliff (Erma) Rumbolt, Kevin (Carmelita) Rumbolt.

Sisters Dulcie (pre deceased) (William) Tatchell and Bridget (Donald)(pre deceased) Scanlon.

Rosary will take place on June 18, 2022 at Queen of The Angels in Castor River South at 7:30 p.m. Family service will take place June 19, 2022 at 7 p.m.

Funeral service will take place June 20, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Queen of The Angels Church in Castor River South with Fr. Rossi Officating, cremation to follow at a later date.

The family wishes to thank those who visited, sent gifts, food, messages, prayers and calls during their time in St. Anthony.

Thank you to the staff of the Dialysis Unit at Curtis Memorial Hospital. You were wonderful to him. Also, thanks to the staff in Palliative Care Unit, your thoughtfulness and kindness will never be forgotten.

February 27, 1956- January 23, 2021
It is with great shock and sadness the family of Hiram Ambrose Rumbolt announce his sudden passing on January 23, 2021 at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, NL, at the age of 64 years. Hiram is predeceased by his parents Chesley and Isabella Rumbolt of New Ferolle, NL. Leaving to mourn his common law spouse of 49 years, Deanna, son Murray (Pierrette), grandson Kaine, brother Cletus (Sophia), nephews Todd (Thelma), Tyson (Megan) and Victor (Tamara Marie), brother in law Shawn (Dana), special father and mother in law, Albert and Olga Coombs and a wide circle of relatives and friends. His family knew him as a kind, gentle and helpful man, always someone you could rely on. Hiram enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his son and grandson on the West Coast, hunting, fishing and of course working. He worked with the Department of Transportation and was a very dedicated employee, he loved his job and his work family. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Curtis Memorial, especially Dr. Iio and the ICU staff for their unwavering care and special attention to Hiram during his hospital stay. We will never forget your kindness and compassion. Hiram will be forever missed and always loved by those who were lucky enough to know him. Rest in Paradise. RUMBOLT, RICKY

May 21, 1949 - July 17, 2020
It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Ricky Rumbolt announce his passing on July 17th, 2020 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital. Ricky lived for his family, and spoiling his grand kids. He loved the sea, he fished on Camp Islands until the cod moratorium and with the Labrador Shrimp Co. on the shrimp draggers. He sailed his last trip on the M.V. Northern Osprey III before retiring in August 2019. He also loved combing the hills of Camp Islands in search of bakeapples and always found his share. Ricky leaves to mourn; Jean, his wife of 47 years; his daughters Sheena (Leon) and Marilyn (Wade); his grandchildren, Jaime (John), Christian, Shae (Alexa), Owen and Starla (Andrew); His Great Grandchildren, Kasey and Bridget. Also mourning his loss is his siblings, Lorraine, Rosalind (Freeman), Roddy (Patsy), Shirley (Ross), Pauline (Aubrey), and Glenda (George), their families, many friends and his fellow crew members. Ricky was predeceased by his parents Clarence & Mabel Rumbolt, his grandson and best buddy Chesley Rumbolt, and his brother - laws John Stone, and Gerald Martin. " Love is stronger than death" At this time we would also like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Dr. Conners , Dr. Parfrey , the CCU nurses at the Health Sciences Center, Dr. Maynard, Dr. Alshami, ICU nurses and ward nurses at Charles S. Curtis Memorial, Fillatres Services, Uncle Roddy, Dave Leyden, Pam Yetman, Pat Martin, Joan Rumbolt as well as all those who are supporting us through this difficult time in any way. RUMBOLT, CARLTON STERLING

May 12, 1965 - January 7, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that the Rumbolt family announce the passing of beloved husband and father Carl Rumbolt. Carl was a friend to all, and their love and support meant the world to him and his family, especially during his health struggles this past year. His strength, unwavering courage, and magnetic personality will forever resonate with us. He will be dearly missed. Carl leaves to mourn his wife of thirty years, Jill; sons, Jeremy, Daniel, and James (Alex); siblings, Gloria (Cortland Best), Judy (Lillian Paton), Stafford (Madeleine), Pamela (Kevin Pilgrim), Watson (Drewcela), Triffinia, and Todd (Denise); father and mother-in-law, David and Patricia Carmichael, sisters-in-law Judy (Michael Callahan), Janet (Gene Cason), and Joy (Kevin MacDonald). Also left to mourn are his son, Damico Cabot (Carrie), and granddaughters, Allie and Taylor, and a large extended family. As well, he leaves to mourn a circle of dear friends, whom he considered his family. Carl was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Alice Rumbolt, and Brother Eric (Mary). Visitation took place from Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home with the funeral taking place from the St. Anthony United Church on Wednesday, January, 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating. Inurnment followed in the Fishing Point United Cemetery. Children brought great joy to Carl’s life, therefore in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Anthony and Area Boys & Girls Club in his memory. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M.
