MACEY, ANNIE JUANITA

June 10, 1951 - February 20, 2025

With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Annie on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Curtis Memorial Hospital, St. Anthony, surrounded by her loving family.

Annie was born to Alfred and Margaret Snow where she resided. She worked at the St. Anthony fish plant for a short period. It was there she met the love of her life, Hubert Macey. In 1970, they were married and together they had two boys, the late Rodney, and Jason.

Annie loved life and was very contented to be a stay-at-home wife and mom. She was a person you seldom saw around the community, only when it was “grocery shopping time” (something she loved dearly). Her whole life totally evolved around caring for her physically challenged son, Jason.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 54 years; Hubert; Son: Jason; Grandchildren: Tori and Tenesha; Sister: Vashti (Will Jo); Brother: Glen (Cora); Brother: Ned (Vivian); her favourite Aunt Annie, as well as many nieces, nephews, In-laws, and other extended family.

Annie is predeceased by her parents: Alfred and Margaret Snow; Son: Rodney; Sister: Naomi Chubbs, and Brother: Stanley Snow.

Visitation to take place at KM Fillatre’s Funeral Home in St. Anthony on Friday, February 21 from 7-9 pm and Saturday/Sunday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 24th, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the Salvation Army Citadel, St. Anthony with Majors Anthony and Beverley Dart-Stokes officiating.
