EDDISON, MABEL

March 26th, 1935 - July 25th, 2022

Peacefully passed away July 25th, 2022 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital at the age of 87 years. Mabel leaves to mourn with cherished memories her daughters Marie (David) Stephens, Shirley (Darryl) Osmond, Glenice (Fred) Carter, Pansy Roberts; sons Harvey (Evelyn), Boyce (Alice), Colin (Brenda) and daughter in law Pauline Eddison as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by husband, Carmen; son Hedley; parents Jack and Daphne Andrews; sisters Nina and Dulcie; grandsons Lindsay and Melvin and son-in-law Loren Roberts.

Family and friends are welcome to visit the Central United Church on July 26, 2022 at 3:00pm and 7:00 pm to pay respect. A funeral and celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Elliott officiating, followed with burial at the Central United Cemetery. GENGE, MABEL

January 1, 1932 - June 24, 2022

Passed away June 24, 2022 at her home in Deadman’s Cove at the age of 90 years.

Mabel is forever loved and remembered by her Daughters, Joy (Michael) Byrde, Una Genge; Son, Jock (Dale) Genge; Grandchildren, Danielle and Christopher; Great-grandchildren, Karlee, Hannah, Isaac and Alyssa; Sister-in-law, Olive Samson; Brother-in-law, Cyril Shepard, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mabel is predeceased by her Husband, Rendell; Son, Floyd; Parents, John and Edna Chambers; Brother, Curtis; Sisters, Mary, Olga, Ethel, Minnie, Bertha, and Marion; Mother and Father In-Laws, Charles and Eva Genge as well as many brothers and sister in-laws and other family members.

Visitation was held from St. Matthews Anglican Church in Anchor Point from where the service took place on June 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Short officiating. Interment followed. CANNING, MABEL

Passed away September 12, 2018 from the Corner Brook Long Term Care Center at the age of 86 years. She leaves to cherish memories her children; Garfield (Bard) Canning, Craig (Donna) Canning, Una (Melvin) Hoyles, Cathy (Barry) Brown; as well as a number of Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, Great-great Grandchildren and other extended family and friends. Mabel is predeceased by her husband Alfred Canning and her Daughters, Juanita Canning and Muriel Baker. Visitation was held from the Calvary Pentecostal Temple in Roddickton from where the funeral was held on Sunday, September 16th, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Benjamin Brown officiating. Interment followed in the Pentecostal Faith Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

BLAKE, MABLE (NÉE HEDDERSON)

Passed away on July 8, 2016 at the age of 79 years. Along with her twin sister Millie, Mabel was born the last of ten children to Sarah (Patey) and George Hedderson of Straitsview. On January 24, 1956 she married Carson Blake of Straitsview. Together they raised four children and were blessed with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She leaves to mourn her Sons Cyril (Barbara), George (Sandra); Daughters Christine (Wilfred), Norma (Dallas); Sister Millie; Sisters-in-law Mae and Nellie Hedderson; Grandchildren Jennifer (Neil), Dustin (Charlene), Mitch (Angel), Christopher, Cameron, Maria; Great-Grandchildren Keira, Eric. Frederick, Shelby, Kenzie; special friend Francis Blake as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Mabel was predeceased by her husband Carson in 1996, and by her brothers Augustus, Willis, Gordon, Ed, Sisters Eliza, Irene, Vida, and Florie. Visitation was held at Central United Church on Quirpon branch from where the funeral was held on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 2:00pm with Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating. Interment followed in the Quirpon Community Cemetery. Funeral services entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger Funeral Director.

CAINES, MABEL

Mabel Caines

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mabel Caines (King) announce her passing at the John M Gray Centre in St Anthony on Saturday Jan 16, 2016 at the age of 70. Mabel will be sadly missed by her loving children Mark (Shona), Ralph (Augustine) and Theresa (Eric) and her grandchildren Matthew, Noah and Olivia. Mabel also leaves to mourn her sisters Nina, Shirley, Linda and her brother Wayne and a large circle of family and friends. Mabel was predeceased by her husband Henry Caines, her parents George and Elizabeth King, her brothers Alfred, Norman and Lloyd and her sisters Alice and Dorthy. Cremation will take place and a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society in her name. Mabel Green was born on January 24th, 1937 to George and Nellie(Bessey). She was one of four children. On May 11th, 1953 she married John Green on Raleigh, and together they raised five beautiful children. Mabel leaves to mourn: Sons Wallace(Judy), Alonzo(Michelle). Daughters Edna(Martin), Hazel(Raymond), Vivian(Tony). Grandchildren Jill, Vanessa(Ashley), Krista(Bruce), Terri(Mike), Kellie-Rae(Corey), Shawn(Genina), Aaron, Taylor. Great Grandchildren Brady, Chloe, Tristan, Dylan, Liam Madison. She was Pre-deceased by her Husband of 59 years, John. Parents George and Nellie Bessey. Parents-in-law Elijah and Christina Green. Sisters-in-law Nina Colbourne, Beatrice Green. Brothers-in-law Hubert Colbourne, Henry Green, Amaziah Patey, Leonard Green. Visitation was held at the Anglican Church in Raleigh from which the funeral service was held at 11:00am on Tuesday November 10 2015 with Rev. Diane Smith officiating.
