CANNING, MARGUERITE DELFINE

Passed away on August 28, 2016 at Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital at the age of 84 years. Marguerite was born on August 29, 1932 to the late Jonas and Tamer Hopkins. On April 25, 1952 she married the love of her life, Lesley Canning. Together they had one son, Woodrow. Marguerite worked at the fish plant for many years but her greatest passion was her love for people. She lived her life as a true servant of God. She would put everyone’s concerns and needs above her own. Many cards were sent and thousands of telephone calls made to people who were sick. Heaven has won another angel! She leaves to mourn her husband Lesley, son Woodrow (Susan), four Grandchildren, and ten Great-grandchildren, Four Sisters, and Three Brothers; along with a large number of family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, three brothers, and three sisters. Visitation was held at the Salvation Army Church in Englee from where the funeral took place on Thursday, September 1st, 2016 at 2:00pm with Lts. Randy and Cathy Shears officiating. Interment followed. Funeral services entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger Funeral Director.

PILGRIM, GARRY GEORGE

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mr. Garry George Pilgrim announce his sudden passing at his home in Main Brook on the 11th day of March 2016. Mr. Garry G. Pilgrim was in his 64th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Shirley, Sister Myra (Norman), Brothers Pearce(Ella), Whitfield(Julia), Edmund(Bessie0, Mother-in-Law Marie Hancock, Sisters-in Law Darlene(Rob), Hilda(Danny), Donna(Craig), Michelle(Ross),Brothers-in-Law Gordon(Marion), Leander(Diane), Shawn(Jennifer), Kevin as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his Mother Eliza Pilgrim, Father Cecil Pilgrim, Brother Ricky, and Father-in-law Charles Hancock. Visitation was held at the Bethel Pentecostal Church in Main Brook from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on the 14th day of March 2016 with Lt. Randy Shears officiating. Interment followed in the Salvation Army Cemetery in Main Brook. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger Funeral Director.

CASSELL, OLIVE GEORGINA

Olive was born in Englee on December 22, 1932 to James and Elizabeth Adams. She grew up with her brothers and sisters in Roddickton. She met and married Ralph Cassell on March 27, 1952 and they enjoyed 63 wonderful years together. She was a loving and compassionate person who dedicated her life to her family and helping others. She was generous to anyone who came to her door. She loved her family more than words can say. Her smile, humor and love will remain in our hearts. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her Loving Husband Ralph, her precious Children Lorne(Grace), Gary(Lilllian), Ruth(Wade), and Linda(Bramwell), Grandchildren Chad, Sarah, Darren, Desmond, Laura, Jessica, and Victoria, Great Grandchildren Anthony, Jade, Brianna, and Liam, her Siblings Charlie, Clara, Rowena, Jasper, Leamon, Dorman, Evelyn, Triffie, and Jerry as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents James and Elizabeth Adams, Her Siblings Millie and Jim and Grandson Deon. Visitation was held at the funeral home in Roddickton after which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Sunday November 8 2015 from the Pentecostal church in Roddickton with Lt. Randy Shears officiating. Interment followed in the Salvation Army Cemetery in Roddickton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M.
