PILGRIM, LLOYD GLEN

March 26, 1940 - November 19, 2022

Lloyd was born in Main Brook to parents, Howard and Ella (Ollerhead) Pilgrim. He was one of a large family of twelve. Lloyd spent his early upbringing in Main Brook and at a young age went to Raleigh where he worked as a Shareman for Mr. Ches Elliott. Throughout his life he also fished in Cooks Harbour, worked as a crewman on a schooner that traveled the Labrador coast, and worked for Bowaters as a cutter. Lloyd loved the outdoors, rabbit and moose hunting, and ice fishing.

He leaves to mourn, Joan Pilgrim; his Children: Sharon (Noble) Foley, Bobby (Mary Ann) Dredge, Mona (Tobias) Patey; Treena (Rick) Graham, Travis (Stephanie) Pilgrim; Sisters: Dorothy (Melvin) Bessey, Meta Holder, Charlotte (Alfred) Brenton; Brother: Winston; Brother-in-law: Raymond (Valda) Hancock; 10 Grandchildren; 11 Great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Howard and Ella Pilgrim; Brothers: Chesley, Ronald, Alfred, Graham, Scott; Sisters: Mae and Lavenia.

Visitation details to be announced. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM from the Pentecostal Church in Main Brook with Pastor Skinner officiating. Interment to follow.

PITTMAN, LLOYD

Passed away on February 8th, 2018 at the Health Science Centre in St. John’s NL at the age of 62 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend Elsie; his ray of sunshine Mackenzie Short; Brothers Wayne (Vina), Dean (Clara); Sister Joan (Glen); best friends Dorothy and Gerald Short; his nieces and nephews (his loved for children was evident in his pride for his nieces and nephews) as well as other extended family and friends. He will be loved and missed by many. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Glossen and Dulcie Pitman, and his parents in Law, Jacob and Gertrude Campbell. Visitation was held from St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Cooks Harbour from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 13th, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Katie officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangement entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director. 
 

PATEY, CECIL LLOYD

Passed peacefully away on the 17th day of December 2013 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital. Mr. Cecil Lloyd Patey of St. Anthony was in his 78th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children Kirby(Priscilla), Leona(Gerald), Carolann(Robert), Betty(Overton), Sandra(Eric)Rhonda, Tommy and step- daughter Gail(Tom), ten grandchildren,  brothers Jacob and Archibald(Maisie) and Sister Blanche(Ron) as well as special friend Olive Saunders.  He was predeceased by his wife Sybil, parents Moses and Clara Patey, brothers Gideon and Clarence and Sisters Louise and Una. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony from which the funeral service was held on the 20th day of December 2013 at 2:00pm from the Salvation Army church in St. Anthony with Major Dinzel Baggs officiating. Internment was held at the Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard funeral director

Passed away peacefully away at his home in Savage Cove on the 1st of Novmeber 2012. Mr. Lloyd way was in his 56th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sisters Lorraine(Harvey) and family; Olga and family; Minnie and family; Brothers Scott(Goldie)and family; Sister-in-law Sibyl and family; Brother-in-law Wilson and family; many nieces, nephews and special friends. He was predeceased by his parents Stephen and Ellen Way; brothers Sterling and Clifford and Sister Lucy. Visitation was held at the St. Marks Church in Savage Cove where the funeral service was held on Sunday November 4th, 2012 with Rev. Rowland Officiating. Burial followed into the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.
