CASSELL, LESLIE WILLIAM

March 3, 1936 - October 30, 2022

Passed away Peacefully on October 30 2022 at Curtis Memorial Hospital, St. Anthony at the age of 86.

Leslie was born in Hooping Harbour NL on March 3 1936 the son of Theophilus and Laura Cassell. Also born in the family were three Brothers; Pleaman (deceased), Frederick, Edmund and four sisters Eileen (deceased). Elva (deceased), Elizabeth and Joyce.

Leslie married Ivy Randell on September 13 1967, together they raised five children and also a grandson as their own. Leslie was a hard worker to provide for his family. He was a man of very few words, easy going and quiet.

He will be sadly missed and remembered by his children, Pansy, Terry (Rogelyn), Albert (Tammy), Donald (Colette), Janet (Bob), Dana (Kaleigh); two brothers, Edmund (Evelyn) Cassell, Frederick (Bessie) Cassell; two sisters, Elizabeth (Freeman) Compton, Joyce Brown; Grandchildren, Dana, Denis, Abagail, Dylan, Joshua, Zachary, Brandon, Melina, Matthew; Great-Grandchildren Jordyn, Beck, D'Vonjae, Axxyll. He also leaves to mourn his sister in-law Edna Randell and his brothers in-law, Frank Randell, Arthur Noseworthy, Archibald Patey as well as a large number of family and friends.

 The Family would like to extend their thanks to the caring doctors and nurses of the Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, also a thanks to the Roddickton House for making his stay comfortable.

Visitation to take place from the Salvation Army Church in Englee beginning the afternoon of Wednesday, November 2, 2022 and will continue until the funeral service on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Major Janes officiating. Interment to follow in the Roddickton Salvation Army Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, NL, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

COOMBS, LESLIE GEORGE

September 7, 1949 – October 26, 2018


Passed away October 26th, 2018 from the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 89 years. Leslie George Coombs was the youngest son of Morgan and Rosanna Coombs of Pond Cove. Leslie had one sister, Elizabeth, and four brothers: William, Nelson, Adam, and Benjamin. As a young man he spent most of his time working in and around the woods, both in camps and logging boats. In 1966, he met the love of his life, Inga Mitchelmore, and was married in June of 1967. Leslie leave to mourn his loving wife Inga, his oldest son Todd, daughter-in-law Gail, two loving granddaughters Morgan and Megan, and youngest son Leander, daughter-in-law Laiheang, loving grandson William and his stepson Dean Mitchelmore as well as a large circle of family and friends. Visitation was held from the Pentecostal Church in Main Brook from where the funeral took place on Thursday. November 1, 2018 with Pastor Skinner officiating. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton.

CHAMBERS, LESLIE

Passed away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 17th day of January, Mr. Leslie Chambers of Bear Cove in his 85th year. Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 55 years Hilda Chambers, Two Sons and Four daughters Terrence (Lucy), Regina (Larry), Jane (Louis), Trudy (Lynden), Anne (Garfield), Troy (Trudy), Grand children Neil, Jody, Mark, Chad, Ryan, Jilda (Abbie), Gina (Jeremy), Zane, Hope, Daniel and Tristan.  Great grand children Mila, Logan, Georgia and Joelle, brother Henry (Barbara) sisters Jessie, Mary Ann and Christina. he was predeceased by his parents Stephen and Jane Chambers. Visitation was held at the Anglican Church in Bear Cove, from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on the 19th of January with Rev. Letto Officiating. Burial followed the service at the church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.  

RICHARDS, LESLIE

Passed peacefully away on the 3rd of September 2013 at the John M. Gray Center. Mr. Leslie Richards on St. Anthony was in his 84th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Violet, Sons Robert(Daphne) and Peter(Linda), Daughter Rhonda(John), Brother Graham(Marie), Grandchildren Lori, Charmayne, Matthew(Natasha), Megan, Robert, and Jonathon, Great-Grandchildren Christine and Ross James, as well as many nieces, nephew ,  family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Harriett, Brothers Maxwell, Donald, Abram, Ernest, and David, Sisters Marjorie, Nina, Mabel, and Sister-in-law Elsie. Visitation was held at Kerry M. Fillatre funeral in St. Anthony followed the funeral service which took place at 2:00pm on Saturday the 7th of September 2013 with Rev. Stephanie McClellan officiating. Cremation followed the service. Interment took place on September 10th at 4:00pm in the Fishing Point United Cemetery. Funeral arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M.
