DAWE, LARRY JOSEPH

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our sweet brother and Uncle Larry Joseph Dawe at the age of 56 years. Enjoying the simpler things in life, it took little to make him happy. Larry had a deep love for sports, friends, and family gatherings. He loved the comradery of friends and enjoyed a heartfelt laugh when there was one to be had. He was the most selfless, caring and kind person who would leave a lasting imprint on the heart of those who had the privilege of meeting him. Left to mourn are; his sister Lillian (Ralph) Taylor; brother Sterling (Audrey) Dawe; Nieces Carla(Bart); Debbie (Todd); Samantha( Draper); and Amanda as well as his very special Friends Don and Ada Weir. Larry is predeceased by his parents Caleb and Elizabeth, sister Lavinia and brother Medford, who will be there to meet him with love and open arms, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that made the journey before him. The memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Raleigh NL, at 11am on the 26th of December 2022 with Rev. Arthur Kinsella officiating, burial will follow in the Community Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. KENNEY, FRANCIS JOSEPH

August 31, 1932-December 8, 2022

Frank was born to James & Helen Kenney (Dower) in Conche. Age 90 years. He had 2 sisters, Margaret and Elizabeth, a stepbrother Jack Kearsey. Frank was a fisherman all his life. He was a kind and gentle man; looking after his Mom & Dad until their passing. He liked the outdoors, picking berries and talking to friends and strangers, alike, often over tea and a lunch. On April 30, 2018, he took up residence at Roddickton House until a week before his passing at CSCM Hospital, St. Anthony. Cremation has taken place as per Frank's request. The family would like to say a special Thank You to the staff of Roddickton House. Also, Thank You to staff of WBCH Center, Roddickton, CSCM Hospital, St. Anthony and Kerry M Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony.

Passed away April 19th, 2019 at the age of 85 years. Joe Coombs will always be remembered by Brothers, Jim (Lillian), Gerald (Masie), Henry; Sister in Law, Valma; Nieces & Nephews, Eliza (Roy), Ben (Anita), Bradley (Lorraine), Blaine (Kristen), Rodney (Rachel), Evelyn & Minnie (Marcel); Great Nieces & Nephews, Sidney, Sarah, Alex, Angela (Chris), Geoff, Nathaniel, Shelley, Ryan, Joe & Bradly as well as a circle of friends. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Keats announce his peaceful passing at his residence on November 26, 2016. Fillatre’s Funeral Home in St. Anthony Beginning on Sunday, November 27, 2016 and continuing until the funeral which was held from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in St. Anthony on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11:00 am with Rev. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Pynn at the Health Science Center on April 6th, 2016.  Leaving to mourn his nephew Ian (Christina), niece Susan (Bill), a number of great nieces and nephews and a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by his brother Abil and sister in law Amelia, Sisters Jane and Lavinia, brother Theophilus and nephew John (Audrey). Visitation was held at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church In Raleigh from Friday April 8th through to Saturday April 9th from where the funeral service was held at 2:00pm with Rev. James Joseph Bushey of Sandy Cove, NL passed peacefully away at Sir Rufus Guinchard Health Centre on the December 2, 2015, at the age of 89 years. Jim leaves to mourn with fond memories his Sons: Larry (Melinda), Terry (Annie), Glenn (Mary), Roddney (Tina); Grandchildren: Owen, Martina, Ashton, Craig (Nicole), Allison; Great-grandchildren: Daniel, Ryann, Timothy; Sister Kathleen; Brother Rick; Sisters-in-law: Jessie, Patricia, Belinda (Jimmy); Brothers-in-law: Wilga, Gaydon (Joyce); many Nephews and Nieces; Family Friend Trina Cox; and special friend Wallace Maynard. He was predeceased by his wife Ima; mother Martina; father Emil; brothers: Lewis (Rose), Leslie, and Benjamin. The family received friends Friday through Sunday at St. Thomas Anglican church in Sandy Cove from where the funeral took place at 2:00pm on Sunday, December 6, 2015 with Rev. "Until we meet again on that not to distant shore", Passed away peacefully on the 14th of September 2014 at the Miller Center in St. Johns NL in his 82nd year, Mr. Ronald Joseph Gardiner of Conche. Left to miss the "Twinkle" in his eye are his wife of 59 years Lucy, daughters Joan (Ron), Gertie (Bernie), Sharon, Michelle (Bernie), Sons Aus (Ida), Lou, Ed (Candy), Des, his grandchildren, Chad, Justin, Ryan, Brandon, Blair, Zachary, Zane, Braedyn, Connor, Patrick, Nathan, Luke, Jacob, Gillian, Kayla, Sheena, Ashley. His Sisters Agatha, Susie and sister Zita and many nephews and nieces. He also leaves behind a plethora of friends from the young to the young at heart. Visitation was held at the Sacred Heart Church in Conche, A celebration of Ron's life will be held at Sacred Heart Church on Friday, September 19th 2014 at 2:00pm with Father Vitus Officiating. Burial followed the Funeral at the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery. In memory of "Wendell" please play or sing one of his favorite tunes. Born in Port Aux Basques on the 14th of March in 1927 to parents Joseph James and Julia Ann,  Joseph lived a full life with many accomplishments and pastimes, including the Newfoundland Rangers, Bowaters (as a Postmaster), U.S. Air force (as a Supply Officer), Canadian Marconi, School Superintendant, and Hospital Administrator, activates in the Lions Club, Athletic Club, Mason Lodge, town Mayor and Air Cadets. Joseph passed away into peace on the 6th of May, 2014 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony with his family by his side in his 87th year. Left to mourn are his loving Wife of 65 years Eva Sulley, his 2 sons Orville and Dennis, 5 Grandchildren Matthew Joseph, Ryan Everett, Reginald Joseph, Olivia Marie, Julia Sarah Anne, Sisters in Law Zelda Hillier, Gloria Marshall and Emily Sully. Close family, Don and Linda Loder, Lee Hillier and Shirley Farrell, Brother Fred Lawrence and Sisters Shirley Yard and Clarinda Lawrence. Joseph was predeceased by his parents Joseph James, Mother Julia Ann, Brothers Reginald and Jim, as well as sisters Classie, Violet, Tulia and Lillian. Visitation was held at The Funeral Home in St. Anthony, Followed by the Funeral Service at the St. Anthony United Church with Rev. John McGonigle officiating.
