CAINES, JACOB

passed away on July 24th, 2017 at St. Claire’s Mercy Hospital in St. Johns, NL at the age of 67 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories Wife Beulah; Sons Jason, Jeffrey (Judy); Grandson Jacob; Sisters Lilly (Derrick), Peggy (Ivan); In Laws Abe (Jane), Stew (Dorcas), Doug (Bertha), Una, Millicent, Fiona, Brone (Bill, Marvin (Louise), Troy (Connie)); Nephews Gurvin (Carolyn), Edmond (Vickey), Borje (Sherrie Lee); Great Nephews Brady, Johnathan, Michael; Great Niece Ally as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Jacob was predeceased by his parents Walter and Mary Janes Caines; Sisters Jenita and Jenita Caines; Parents in Law Emmaunel and Dora Genge; In Laws Mon Genge, Emmanuel Genge, and Cliffton Moores. Visitation was held from the St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove from where the funeral service was held on July 29th 2017 with Rev. Jennifer Renouf officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

PATEY, JACOB

Passed away on July 9, 2016 at the age of 97 years. Jacob Patey was born in Quirpon on April 26th, 1919 to Moses and Clara Patey. It was there he met Beatrice Roberts and was married in 1944. Together they had 11 children. He leaves to mourn his sons Donald (Grace), Enos (Karen); Daughters Stella (Ralph), Elsie (Carl), Gladys (Truman), Nina (Gerald), Millie (Whyman), Pansy (Ross), Triffie (Harrison); Daughter-in-law Karen Patey; Sister Blanche Strickland, Brother Arch Patey; 27 Grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his Wife Beatrice; Sons Clayton & Baxter; Sisters Louise & Una; Brothers Gideon, Clarence & Lloyd; and Son-In-Law Ernest Patey. Visitation began at Kerry m. Fillatre’s Funeral Home and then moved to Central United Church on Quirpon Branch from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Major Bungay officiating. Interment followed in the Quirpon Community Cemetery. Funeral serviced entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton,  Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

WAY, JOHN JACOB

Passed peacefully away at the age of 94 years at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony surrounded by family and friends, Mr. John Jacob Way (March 12, 1920 - June 30, 2014) he leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories hes sister Edna Coles, The way Families and a large circle of family and friends. John is predeceased by his wife Una Way (Chambers), his father, Matthew Way; his mother, Minnie Genge; Brothers, Roland, Stephen, Darius, George and George Jr. ; Sisters Virginia Gardiner, Jane Simms, Effie Arnold, Cecilia Boyd, Millie Genge, Dora Coles, Laura. Visitation was held at St. Marks Anglican Church in Savage Cove From which the family service took place at 8:00pm on Wednesday july 2. the funeral service was held at 11:00am on Thursday July 3, with Rev. Irving Letto Officiating. Interment followed at the savage cove/ sandy cove Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M.
