DREDGE, ISABELLA

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, it is with profound sadness and broken hearts, that the family of Isabella Dredge, share the sad news of her passing on August 4, 2023 at the age of 59. She passed peacefully away at the Curtis Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.

Isabella was born on January 11, 1964, to Maxwell and Marie Williams of Pond Cove. She started dating the love of her life and best friend Stephen Dredge in 1980 and they were married on August 19, 1989.

Isabella will be forever remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 34 years Stephen Dredge, Mother Marie Williams, Sisters Nina Williams (Martin), Maxine McLean (Floyd), Mother and Father in-law Edith and Issac Dredge, sister’s in-law Minnie Gibbons (Ted), Jackie Taylor (Wayne), Myrtle Susan Gould (Martin), brother in-law Martin Dredge (Nina). Nieces and Nephews; Travis Taylor, Nikita Mailman (Josh), Franchesca Taylor (Hunter), Spencer Gould (Alison), Nash McLean and Mackenzie Gould. Great Niece Sophie Mailman, Great Nephew Hayden Taylor, Special Aunts Jane and Peggy, Special Cousin Misty, Special Little Girl Isabella Rose Corbin and a Large circle of family and friends.

Isabella was predeceased by her daddy Maxwell Williams, sister Sarah Jane Williams, grandparents Ida and George Williams and Isaac and Sarah Jane Gibbons, brother-in-law Bill Taylor.

The Family would like to thank the Strait of Bell Isle Health Centre and Curtis Memorial Hospital staff for their care during her illness. A special thank-you to her chemo nurse and friend Bonnie Decker – you were the light on many dull days.

Isabella will be fondly remembered as a pillar of Strength, Love, Courage, and Determination to all that knew her.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation and funeral services will take place from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove with the visitation starting the afternoon of Thursday, August 10, 2023 (with the family service taking place Thursday evening) and will continue daily until the funeral at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 11, 2023 with Rev. Coates officiating. Interment to follow.

HILLIER, ISABELLA

On Saturday, May 23, 2020 Isabella Hillier, loving mother and family matriarch, passed away at the age of 92. Isabella was born on May 15, 1928 in Bide Arm, NL to Obediah & Leah (Randell) Canning. Isabella had a passion for helping and providing services for others. Her passions included: knitting, crocheting and crafting of all sorts. She faithfully served her church. She was known for her infectious smile and kind and compassionate spirit toward all. Isabella was predeceased by her father, Obediah, her mother, Leah and brother Hayward; husbands George Adams and Hedley Hillier; son Roy Adams, and grandson Cory Gillard. She is survived by her loving children: Marilyn (Ford), Juanita (Andrew), Leah (Rex), Ruth (Don), Charles (Elizabeth), Sue, Fern (Sterling), Don (Angela), Phyllis (Tim) and Angela (Wade). Also left to mourn are a large circle of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, a very large, loving family. She will also be missed by a large circle of friends. A family funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Apostolic Faith Church, Bide Arm, NL. A memorial for family and friends is being planned for a later date, due to current restrictions.

HANCOCK, ISABELLA LOUISE

May 17, 1931 - October 21, 2018
Passed away October 21, 2018 at White Bay Central Health Centre in Roddickton at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her Son, Raymond (Valda) Hancock; Daughters, Joan (Lloyd) Pilgrim, Mona (Tobias) Patey; Sisters, Beatrice Wilcox, Maureen Hancock; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-greatgrandchild, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Isabella was predeceased by her husband, Edward Hopkins, and her Parents, Reuben and Harriet Hopkins. Visitation was held from the Apostolic Faith Church in Roddickton from where the funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 24th, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Rene Cassell officiating. KENNEDY, ISABEL JOSEPHINE

Passed away October 1, 2018 from the John M. Gray Center in St. Anthony at the age of 81 years. Visitation was held from Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church in Bird Cove from where the funeral was held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Fr. Rossi officiating. Interment followed. REARDON, ISABELLE (BELLE)

Passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 7th day of November 2012. Ms. Isabella (belle) Reardon was in her 53rd year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Brandon; Sisters Linda(Philip); Lorrie(Alec); Rose(Tony); and Marcella(Paul); Brothers Charlie(Susan); Joe(Brenda); Eugene(Rita); and Austin(Agnes); sister-in-laws Eleanor and Paula; special friend Beth(Cyril) Byrne; as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Florence and Clifford; brothers Wilfred and Brian; niece Trudy and nephew Kenny. Visitation was held at Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral home in St. Anthony from which the funeral mass took place at 11:00AM on the 10th day of November  from the St. Francis Xavier Parish in St. Anthony with father  Anthony Nwaohiri officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic cemetery in Goose Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard funeral director.
