YOUNG, GLENDA MELVINNA

It is with great sorrow that the Earle/Young family announces the passing of Glenda (Earle) Young. Following a brave battle with illness, Glenda passed peacefully on December 12th surrounded by family.

Glenda was born on May 3, 1973, and grew up in St. Lunaire-Griquet. She was always very ambitions, earning both the Governor’s Award of Excellence in highschool and college. She lived in Ontario with her husband for 16 years. She led a well-rounded life, working various careers, and enjoying the outdoors, vacations home, and, of course, cats. Glenda was an avid motorcyclist and snowmobiler, and thoroughly enjoyed time with family get-togethers, especially game nights, cook-outs on French Beach, and gathering around Dad’s homemade icecream.

Glenda loved with all her heart; she was a thoughtful, caring, beautiful soul. She was an exceptional wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the glue that held the family together, always the first to initiate family photos or arrange activities. She had a great sense of humor, and had an infectious smile; her presence lit up a room. It is with of great pleasure to us that she moved back home 12 years ago, as the memories we have are priceless.

Glenda recently graduated college earning a variety of scholarships and awards, even thorough great suffering. She was determined and hard-working, and her fighting spirit remains an inspiration to us.

Leaving to mourn husband, Roger; parents Herb and Pearl; parents in-law, Lloyd and Joyce; sister, Mona; brothers, Gary (Loraine) and Byron (Kim); sister-in-law, Virginia (Derrick); brother-in-law, Mike (Michelle); niece, Hayley; nephew, Logan; and a large circle of family and friends.

Our hearts are broken, but your memory will heal us. Glenda, you will be remembered for the beautiful, vibrant, compassionate person you are. Rest in Peace; until we meet again.

October 25, 1962- June 01 2021

With heartfelt sadness we the family of Glenda Fowler announce her passing on June 1st 2021. She was much loved and will be sadly missed by her mom, sisters, nephews and niece and all her fur friends. Glenda lived a quiet, simple life and suffered in silence. Glenda appreciated everything big or small someone gave and always kept it in her notes. Glenda loved volunteering at the family resource center and the staff there praised her for her good attendance and her special attention to the kids- especially the preschool, who she would give stickers to for their homework and put it in their folders. Special to Glenda, and something that always brought a smile to her face, was her fur friends—Gracie, Joe, Gord, Shep, Teddy, and Chico.

She leaves to mourn her Mom, Stella Fowler; Son, Andrew Ivany; Sisters, Jessie Gillingham (Maurice), Joan Ivany (Bob), Dorothy Fowler, Colleen Loder (Allan); Nephews, David, Michael, and Maurice; Niece, Cynthia; Great-nieces, Rebel and Emily; Great-nephews, Liam, Jackson and Carson.
