Clifford was born in Great Brehat on May 7, 1955 to Victor and Bertha Noble. He fished all his life from small boats to off shore trawlers, until 2018, when he took ill and had to finish with the fishery. He battles with cancer until his death on August 14, 2021, at the age of 66 years, surrounded by his family.
He leaves to mourn, his partner of 39 years, Judy Patey; 5 brothers and 4 sisters, Rtia (Bob), Marion, Don (Donna), Reub (Ruby), David (Shelly), Gladys (Loren), Rick (Loretta), Sheila (Rick), Terry (Ann); Sisters-in-law, Betty (Roy), Jean (Gordon), Gloria (Kevin); his buddies on the MV Atlantic Enterprise, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Clifford is predeceased by his parents, Bertha and Victor Noble; his infant brothers and his father and mother in law, Nina and Samuel Patey. Cremation has taken place, the funeral will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm from the St. Anthony United Church with Rev, John Maich officiating (Tentative). Interment to follow in the Great Brehat United Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, Funeral Director.

December 28, 1934 - March 16, 2021

Passed peacefully away at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, NL on March 16, 2021 at the age of 86. He leaves to mourn his Wife of 65 years, Dora (Croucher) ; Brother,, Norman (Myra), Job (Elizabeth); Sister, Mary Jane; Sister-in-law, Vera and Ethel; as well as Nieces, Nephews and Friends. He was predeceased by Son, Gregory Strangemore; Mother, Dorcas; Father, Essau; Sisters, Blanche (George), Luncinda (Bob); Brothers, Ralph, Jerimiah; and Brother-in-law, Bill Burt. Private viewing to take place from Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home in St. Anthony with burial to follow in the Main Brook Anglican Cemetery with Rev. Gosse officiating. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton.

BYRNE, CLIFFORD PATRICK

August 31, 1953 – October 26, 2018

Passed tragically away in Conche on October 26th, 2018 at the age of 65 years. Cliff was a member of Alberta Carpenters and Allied workers. He spent many years working in the oil sands in Fort McMurray. He loved to fish and hunt, and especially loved Newfie music and dancing. He will be sadly missed. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his mother, Ellen; Brothers, Garrett (Selina), Gerry, Michael (Bernice), Kenneth; Sisters, Christine (Matt), Frances (Gary), Elsie (Bob), Doreen (Jean-Guy), Margaret (Bill); Son, Shannon; and Special Friend, Shirley. Cliff will also be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, and circle of friends. Clifford was predeceased by his Father, William Byrne; Twin Brothers, Robert and William Byrne; as well as his Nephew, Jeremy Scott. Visitation was held from the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Conche from where the funeral took place at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2018 with Fr. George officiating. Interment followed the new Roman Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton.

FLYNN, CLIFFORD

He was born March 28, 1935 in Forteau Labrador. He married Sophia Una Chambers on October 20, 1957. Together they raised their two daughters in Blue Cove.  He worked as the lighthouse keeper on Belle Island for Thirty-five years.He passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 3rd day of September 2015, Mr. Clifford Flynn of Blue Cove was in his 80th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of Fifty-Seven years Sophia Una (Chambers) Flynn, his children Daisy(Vaughan), Samantha(Lyndon), Grandchildren Avery Cunard, Joshua Cunard, Brothers Clarance (Harrett), William(Lousia), Eric(Clara), Sisters Una(Lloyde), Phyllis(Kenneth), Sister-in-Laws Mary and Sue as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his Father Edward Flynn, Mother Pearl Flynn, and his Brothers Robert and Almond. Visitation was held at the Church of Advent in Plum Point from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Monday September 7, 2015 with Rev. Harold Harvey officiating. Burial followed in the Anglican cemetery in Pond Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

PILGRIM, CHESLEY CLIFFORD

Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Charles S. Curtis memorial Hospital on the 5th day of January 2015. Mr. Chesley Clifford Pilgrim of St. Anthony was in his 82nd year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 57 years Vera, his four children Mona(Bill), Linda(Scott), Nelson(Brenda), and Cheryl(Wayne), Nine Grandchildren Shelly, Victoria, Kerry, Brandon, Nikiata, Mark, Lori, Steven, and Mackenzie, Nine Great Grandchildren, Sister Mae(Ed), Sisters-in-Law Lillian, Mabel (George),  and Betty(Calvin), many nieces, nephews, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Edna and Cecil Pilgrim and his Brother Douglas. Visitation was held at the funeral home followed by the funeral service which took place at 2:00pm on Friday the 9th day of January 2015 from the United Church in St. Anthony with Reverend Dinesh Gomes officiating. Cremation will be taking place after the service, Interment to take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.
