COOMBS, CHESLEY WALLACE

Chesley Wallace Coombs was born in Newfoundland and Labrador, and Lived alongside his parents, siblings and friends for many years. At a young age, Chesley moved away form home to work in Alberta, where he enjoyed a life long career as a renowned welder and brother with the boiler makers union for over 15 years.

Chesley Passed away into peace on the 31st day of July, 2022 at the age of 64 years after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. he was surrounded by loved ones whom will strive to honour his memory and life.

Chesley will always be lovingly remembered by; the mother of his children Margaret Lavery, Sons Bradley and David, Daughters Sandra and Lisa, brothers Percy Coombs, William Coombs and Clifford (Leona), sisters Vermeta J. Coombs (Winston), Matilda J. Coombs( Hiram), Nancy Ann Diamond (Ralph), Elizabeth House (Dean), Nephews and Nieces ; Medina Genge (Toma), Daris Coombs, Gavin Coombs, Edna Diamond, Curtis Diamond and Benjamin Coombs.

Chesley was Predeceased by his mother Elva Joyce Coombs and Father George William Coombs.

Visitation and a family service will be held at the Church of the Advent in Plum Point on the evening of the 11th of August, 2022, From which the funeral service will be held at 1pm on the 12th of August, 2022 with the Rev. Terry Coates officiating, Burial will follow in the Anglican Community Cemetery at Pond Cove Branch.

DOYLE, CHESLEY

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mr. Chesley Doyle announce his passing in St. Barbe  on Friday November 25, 2016 in his 75th year. Chesley will be greatly missed by wife Caroline of Forty- Three years his children Gary (Gladys) and Stephanie (Randy), his Grandchildren Zachary, Lynestha, Ashton, and Aidan. He also leaves to mourn his Brothers Colin (Doreen) and Leslie (Karen), his Sisters Linda Gibbons (Douglas) and Virginia Gibbons, Brothers –in-law George (Judy), Stephen(Rachel) and Hhyman (Michelle Cornelius, Sisters-in-law Vivian Parsons and Yvonne Applin(Lambert). HE was predeceased by his Father Abraham, Mother Maggie, Brother Wilfred, and Brother-in-law James. Visitation was held at the St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove from Sunday Nov. 27th followed through until the funeral on Tuesday Nov. 29th, 2016 at 2:00pm with Rev. Jennifer Renault officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Cemetery in Black Duck Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Homes, Lee Nippard Funeral Director  

PILGRIM, CHESLEY CLIFFORD

Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Charles S. Curtis memorial Hospital on the 5th day of January 2015. Mr. Chesley Clifford Pilgrim of St. Anthony was in his 82nd year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 57 years Vera, his four children Mona(Bill), Linda(Scott), Nelson(Brenda), and Cheryl(Wayne), Nine Grandchildren Shelly, Victoria, Kerry, Brandon, Nikiata, Mark, Lori, Steven, and Mackenzie, Nine Great Grandchildren, Sister Mae(Ed), Sisters-in-Law Lillian, Mabel (George),  and Betty(Calvin), many nieces, nephews, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Edna and Cecil Pilgrim and his Brother Douglas. Visitation was held at the funeral home followed by the funeral service which took place at 2:00pm on Friday the 9th day of January 2015 from the United Church in St. Anthony with Reverend Dinesh Gomes officiating. Cremation will be taking place after the service, Interment to take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.
