FOWLER, LOOMIS CECIL

July 18, 1936 - March 30, 2022

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 30th of March in his 85th year, Mr. Loomis C. Fowler of St. Anthony.

Loomis leaves with heavy hearts his wife Millicent, his sons Todd (Jeannie) Fowler and Roger (Vera) Fowler. Grandchildren Michael (Stephanie) Fowler, Michelle (Adam) Maracle, Amanda Fowler (Tyler Hedderson) and Stevon Fowler (Nikita Pittman). Great grandchildren Bria, Kenna, Kohen, Cameron and Holly. Brother-in-law Don (Miriam) Cull. Nephews Randy (Mary Ellen) Cull, Dwayne (Patsy) Cull, Lorne Fowler (Donna Noel), Kirby Pike and special friends Loretta (Heber) Hussey and Donna Fowler.

He is predeceased by his son Glen Fowler and his parents Quincey and Susie Fowler, step-father Wilfred Fowler and brother William (Eva) Fowler and sister Roslyn (Fred) Pike.

Visitation (mask required) to take place from Kerry M Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Saturday, April 2rnd and Sunday, April 3rd. The funeral will take place on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Rev. John McGonigle officiating.. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton.

June 30, 1944 - October 9, 2021

It is with sad and grateful hearts that we have to say farewell to our Husband, Dad, Grandfather, Brother, and friend. Cecil was a hardworking man who provided for his family and was very caring. His door was always open for anyone to stop in for a chat or a meal. You could ask him for anything and if he had it, he would give it to you. He was always there to lend a helping hand or do what he could for anybody, He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.
He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his Wife, Karen; Daughters, Christina (Morgan), Cynthia (William); Step-daughter, Tara (Mark); Sons, Bradley (Tammy-Lee), Byron (Robin); Step-son, Terry; Grandchildren, Caitlin, Megan, Joshua, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Madisyn, Aryn, Emily, Logan, Landon; Brothers, Hubert (Byril), Doug (Doris); Sisters, Marjorie (Harvey), Ivy (Wallace), Telsie (Leaton), Emma (George), Leona (John), as well as a large circle extended family and friends.
Cecil is predeceased by his Wife, Sybil; Father, Chesley; Mother, Phyllis; Sister, Mae Peyton; Brothers, Ralph and Dennis.
Visitation to take place from Kerry M Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 7-9pm and will continue on Friday, October 15, 2021 from the Pentecostal Faith Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet from 12pm-1:30pm. The celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastors Bill and Judy Harnum officiating. Interment to follow.

RANDELL, CECIL

Passed away peacefully at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on October 22, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Cecil was born to Joshua and Sophia Randell on December 17, 1932 in Williamsport, NL. He married Ida Randell on November 10, 1952 and they had five children; Barbara, Garry, Wayne, Jerry, and Barry. Keith was born to Barbara and Cecil, and Ida raised him as their own. Cecil and Ida resettled their family from Williamsport in 1969. They moved to Bide Arm for two years and then to Englee in 1971, where they built their home and raised their family. Cecil was a man who could put his hand to any job, a proper jack of all trades. There was no job that he would not take on. He was a home builder and also a boat builder. Over the years he worked on the whale plant, a whale boat, he sawed logs and even spent two years as a teacher. However, fishing was his calling. He leaves to mourn his Wife Ida, Daughter Barbara, Sons Garry (Brenda), Wayne (Marlene), Jerry, Barry (Kathy), Keith (Nadine) as well as six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Cecil was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and one sister. He was the last of his family. Cecil slipped peacefully away into the presence of the Lord on October 22 at the St. Anthony Hospital. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Visitation was held at the Salvation Army Church in Englee from where the funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 with Major Collins officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre's Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger funeral director.

BURT, CECIL FRANCIS

Cecil Francis Burt was born in St. Anthony on October 9, 1930 to Winnifred and James Burt. He has one son (Roy) and helped raise 6 step children. Left with their memories are Son Roy (Joyce), Granddaughter Leanne, 6 step-children – Albert (Jo), Gary (Irene), Dorothy (Dennis), Gus (Cora), Ern, Benson (Daphne), Effie McLean & family as well as a large circle of other relatives & friends. He is predeceased by his first wife Dora (Simms) Burt and his second wife Dorothy (Hancock) Burt, his parents, Brother Reuben Burt and Sisters Minnie and Mary-Ann. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony after which the funeral service was held on Monday December 28th, 2015 at 2:00pm with Major Denzel Baggs officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

CAINES, CECIL

Passed away suddenly but peacefully on September 2, 2015, Mr. Cecil Caines of Bird Cove was in his 56th year. Left to  mourn but with cherished memories are his brothers  Leo(Marjorie) , Gord(Anita) Peter,  Doug,  Ralph; sisters Cecilia(Mike), Effie(Mike), Liz(Rodney), nieces  and nephews Michelle, Craig, Dwayne, Gordie, Geoffrey and Stacey; also a large number of aunts ,uncles, cousins and friends. We will miss his presence. Predeceased by his father, Peter Caines and mother, Johanna Caines. Visitation was held at the Our Lady of Grace Church in Bird Cove from which the funeral mass was held on Monday September 7, 2015 @ 11:00am with Fr. Bosco officiating.
