PILGRIM, CARL

March 20, 1945 - January 16, 2021
On the evening on January 16, 2021, at the age of 75, Carl passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour who he loved and served faithfully since an early age. He was a beloved husband, son, father, brother, grand-father, uncle and friend. Carl grew up in Griquet with a large family of five brothers and six sisters. He fished with his dad as a young boy until he moved to Goose Bay to work for Eastern Provincial Airlines. He married the love of his life, Yvonne Hedderson, on January 13, 1968 in Goose Bay and they started a family of four children in 1969. Carl and his young family moved back to Griquet in 1972, where he worked at Lewis's shop and then with TRA as a regional salesman until he retired. He was a jack of all trades and could do anything he put his mind to. He loved everything outdoors, woodworking, boat building, and being goofy. He will be forever loved and always in our hearts. He leaves to mourn his wife Yvonne; four children Carla (Shawn), Gradon (Dulcie), Lorna (Keith), and Cordella (Stephen); five grandchildren Joshua, Taylor, Andrea, Jonah and Julianna; mother Marshall (Lewis); siblings Jean (Gus), Joyce, Ruby (Phillip), Lawrence (Kathi), Joy (Allan), Alasdair (Faye), and Darrell (Ivy); long-time friend Ed Parr; and a large circle of other close relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Gordon, brother Gus, sisters Nancy and Patsy, and brothers-in-law Hayward and Guy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family. Private Visitation to take place from Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home in St. Anthony on Wednesday, January 20, 2020 from 10 am- 12 pm followed by the funeral at 2:00 pm from the Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet with Pastor Harnum officiating. RUMBOLT, CARLTON STERLING

May 12, 1965 - January 7, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that the Rumbolt family announce the passing of beloved husband and father Carl Rumbolt. Carl was a friend to all, and their love and support meant the world to him and his family, especially during his health struggles this past year. His strength, unwavering courage, and magnetic personality will forever resonate with us. He will be dearly missed. Carl leaves to mourn his wife of thirty years, Jill; sons, Jeremy, Daniel, and James (Alex); siblings, Gloria (Cortland Best), Judy (Lillian Paton), Stafford (Madeleine), Pamela (Kevin Pilgrim), Watson (Drewcela), Triffinia, and Todd (Denise); father and mother-in-law, David and Patricia Carmichael, sisters-in-law Judy (Michael Callahan), Janet (Gene Cason), and Joy (Kevin MacDonald). Also left to mourn are his son, Damico Cabot (Carrie), and granddaughters, Allie and Taylor, and a large extended family. As well, he leaves to mourn a circle of dear friends, whom he considered his family. Carl was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Alice Rumbolt, and Brother Eric (Mary). Visitation took place from Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home with the funeral taking place from the St. Anthony United Church on Wednesday, January, 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating. Inurnment followed in the Fishing Point United Cemetery. Children brought great joy to Carl’s life, therefore in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Anthony and Area Boys & Girls Club in his memory. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. MAY, CARL

September 14, 1937 - December 4, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Carl May announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday morning, December 4, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Carl was born in Point Rosie, Fortune Bay, NL on September 14, 1937.  He met Ursula Hopkins from Roddickton in St. John’s and they were married at Botwood, NL on November 11, 1960.  Carl loved spending time with family and friends.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, berry picking, boating and was a loyal Montreal Canadiens fan.  He was a kind, devoted and loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.  Left to mourn with fond and loving memories is his loving wife, Ursula of 58 years, children Pauline Bartlett (Maurice) St. Anthony, NL; Paul May (Betty) Humber Valley Resort, NL; Lynn Hunt (Randy) Port au Port, NL; Eugene May (Madonna) Pasadena, NL; Richard May Bird Cove, NL; and Todd May (Cindy) St. Thomas, ON.  Grandchildren Tennelle (Noland); Michael; Charmayne (David); Laura (Andrew); Beverley; Jennifer (Darren); Randall (Keshia); Andrew; Hannah; Matt and Erin.  Great Grandchildren; Ross James; Emma; Claire and Roman; his brother Sidney May (Lynn), New Minas, NS and sister Joyce Snow (Tony) Wing’s Point, NL.  Predeceased by his parents, Morgan and Lucy May; his sister Emily; his brothers Winston, Morgan, Eugene and Harvey; and great grandson Ryan. Also loved by Beverley Ereaut and many other family and friends. Visitation was held from The Apostolic Faith Church in Roddickton from where the funeral service was held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Chris Hewlett officiating. TUCKER, CARL

Carl was born in ship cove on June 15, 1944 to Mamie tucker. He was raised by his grandparents Kenneth and Elizabeth tucker. He married Millicent Andrews on June 20th 1968 and they raised for children, Trevor, Rene, Andy and Tim. Carl served as a foster parent to a number of children, most notably Jennifer Simms, whom he considered a part of the family. He worked at Newfoundland and Labrador hydro for all of his adult life, retiring in 2004. Carl was very dedicated to his family. He loved the outdoors, especially winter. He loved to play guitar and mouth organ, and loved telling stories, laughing and making people laugh. He enjoyed being around other people and was a friend to everyone he met. Carl Passed away into peace on the 9th of November, 2015 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony. He leaves behind his wife Millicent, children Trevor (Lesley), Rene (Steve), Andy (Maria), Tim (Melissa), grandchildren Dylan, Alyssa, Drew, and Layla. As well as his brother Wilfred and a large circle of family and friends. Carl Lived to see the passing of his grandparents Kenneth and Elizabeth and his brother Val. Visitation was held at the Pentecostal church in St. Anthony, from which the funeral service was held at 11am on the 13th of November 2015, with Pastor Jeff Bessey Officiating.  Burial followed in the Church Cemetery. The family request that donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Society Craig’s Cause.
