HUMBY, ALMA LILLIAN

In the 1950s she moved to Roddickton where she taught at A.C Palmer Pentecostal School for 30 years. She loved and respected her students and spoke of them often following her retirement in 1993. Teaching was her passion, and she has left a lasting impact on many lives as a result.

In 1960 she married George Humby and they had three sons, Paul, Peter, and Perrin. Whie raising a family, she took a break from teaching and helped manage the Imperial Oil business for nine years. They were also blessed with eight (8) grandchildren and six (6) great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and jumped at any opportunity to provide a nice hot meal to those she loved most. She was happiest when all her family were sitting around her table.

Throughout her life she enjoyed excursions with her friends, especially cabin trips and fishing with Aunt Marg, and camping in the motorhome with Dulcie. These are memories she treasured and talked about as some of the best times of her life.
