BURKE, ALICE MARY

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alice (Allie) Burke announce her passing at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre on March 8th, 2023 at the age of 81 years.

Alice was a quiet woman who was kind to everyone she met. She loved her family dearly and worked hard outside and inside the home to provide a good life for her children. Allie was a dedicated mom who always gave her time to her children and grandchildren; teaching them to cook, bake, knit, etc. One of her greatest pastimes was playing cards with her family and friends; many a laugh was had when someone laid down their hand unexpectedly. She loved company and was so pleased whenever visitors dropped by. She always had something sweet in the cupboard to offer her guests with a good cup of tea. She loved God and was an active member of the Flower’s Cove Catholic Church Women, helping out wherever needed.
