BYRNE, CLIFFORD PATRICK

August 31, 1953 – October 26, 2018

Passed tragically away in Conche on October 26th, 2018 at the age of 65 years. Cliff was a member of Alberta Carpenters and Allied workers. He spent many years working in the oil sands in Fort McMurray. He loved to fish and hunt, and especially loved Newfie music and dancing. He will be sadly missed. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his mother, Ellen; Brothers, Garrett (Selina), Gerry, Michael (Bernice), Kenneth; Sisters, Christine (Matt), Frances (Gary), Elsie (Bob), Doreen (Jean-Guy), Margaret (Bill); Son, Shannon; and Special Friend, Shirley. Cliff will also be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, and circle of friends. Clifford was predeceased by his Father, William Byrne; Twin Brothers, Robert and William Byrne; as well as his Nephew, Jeremy Scott. Visitation was held from the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Conche from where the funeral took place at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2018 with Fr. George officiating. Interment followed the new Roman Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton.

BURDEN, TYRONE WAYNE

Passed away on June 27th, 2017 in Grand Prairie, Alberta at the age of 33 years. Tyrone was born to Wayne and Alma Burden on February 13th, 1984. He graduated high school in 2002 and moved to Ontario where his sister Vanessa lived to search for work. He returned home in 2008 but left again for Grande Prairie shortly after. Tyrone loved hanging out with his buddies and enjoyed playing hockey, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and any outdoor activities. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his parents Wayne & Alma Burden; Sisters Vanessa (Eyon Goosney), Vivian (Corwin Randell); Nephew Alex Burden; Nieces: Kerissa Burden, Keesha Goosney, Katona Goosney; Grandmother Elizabeth Richards; Uncles and Aunts Willis (Shirley) Wyatt, Nellie (Richard) Mitchelmore, Nina Hill, Ben Denney, Hedley (Faye) Richards, Harrison (Judy) Richards, Hubert (Barbara) Richards, Lester (Viona) Richards, Florence (Freeman) Richards, David (Jackie) Richards, Glenn Richards (Penny Kinsella), Wavey (Alick) Pilgrim, Judy (Randy) Wiseman, Peggy (John) Barnes, Terry Burden (Cathy May), Tommy Burden (June Offrey); and a large circle of relatives and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his Grandparents Francis and Marie Burden, Grandfather John Richards, Aunt Evelyn Denney and Uncle Albert Hill, Pap & Nan - Thomas and Dora Burden. Visitation took place at Bear Creek Funeral Home in Grand Prairie, Alberta and then continued at the Salvation Army Church in St. Anthony from where the funeral took place on July 6th, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Captain Rideout officiating. CARNELL, CHARLES

Charles was born to Sidney and Imelda Carnell of Flower’s Cove on August 31, 1957.  He was raised in Flower’s Cove and on June 18, 1977 he married Leatrice Jones.  They had two children.  Charles was a hardworking man who was a business man for many years in Flowers Cove.  In 1997 he and his family moved to Alberta where he worked as a salesman.  He retired and returned home to Flowers Cove in 2012 after suffering a stroke. In December of 2016 he was diagnosed with cancer.  He died at home on May 28th.   He was a well loved and respected man.  He is survived by his wife Leatrice, his son Roy (Vania), his daughter Roxanne (Dwayne), two granddaughters Jasmine and Selina.  He is also survived by his mother Imelda, Sister Maggie (Harold), Brother Jim (Ena), His Dog Marly, as well as nieces, nephews and friends.  He was predeceased by his father Sidney.  He will be sadly missed. After cremation, visitation took place from the United Church in Flowers Cove, from where the funeral service was held on June 1st, 2017 with Rev. John McGonigle officiating. Interment followed.
