January 27, 1943 - March 6, 2024
Alzena was born on January 27, 1943 to Cecil and Ameta Newman. She grew up in Englee where she lived all of her life. At age 16 she met the love of her life, Charles William Ellsworth, and at age 17 on October 4, 1960, they were married. Together they had 6 children.
Alzena worked for 30 years on the fish plant in Englee until it’s closure in 1992. She was a friend to many throughout her lifetime- anyone who entered her home was welcomed and treated like family.
In March of 2000, Alzena gave her heart to the Lord and became a very active member of the Salvation Army Church. Though, when her son, Kirby, passed away it affected her tremendously, as she had already lost a son years prior. She remained faithful to her God, although she no longer attended church.
After her husband, Charlie, passed, her health slowly declined until her own passing.
Alzena leaves to mourn, her Children: Terry, Cathy, Rocky (Jose), Kim (Elvis); Grandchildren: Ashley, Brandon (Beth Ann), Ocean (Aaron), Martina; Great-grandchildren: Alexandra, Sophia, Danielle; Brothers: Fred, Shem, and Colin as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a large circle of friends. She will be forever missed.
She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Charles Ellsworth; Sons: Kirby and Danny; Parents: Cecil and Ameta Newman and Sister; Jean Denney.
