RICHARDS, URSULA VIVIAN

Passed away on September 16, 2016 at the age of 99 years. Ursula was born on March 6, 1917 to Reuben and Elizabeth (Penney) Cull of Great Brehat. It was there that she grew up. On October 8, 1938 she married a widower, Harvey Richards of Little Brehat. Together they raised eight children, Joyce, Ralph, Madge, Celeste, Harvey, Vivian, Allan, and Mildred. She loved her children and grandchildren and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to attend God’s house regularly and missed it very much when she lost her mobility. On February 20, 1963 she prepared for this day when she knelt at an altar and accepted Jesus into her heart. She has since fought a good fight and has now finished her course, kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give her. On September 16, 2016 she took up citizenship in heaven. She leaves to mourn her daughters Joyce (Howard), Madge (John), Vivian (Edward); sons Ralph (Pat), Harvey (Marjorie), Allan (Delphine); Sister Emily, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Harvey; daughters Celeste and Mildred; Mother Elizabeth; Father Reuben; Brothers Fremonder, Lester, Thomas, Harris, and Wesley; and sisters Winnie and Mabel. Visitation was held at Bethel Pentecostal Church in St. Anthony from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 20th, 2016 with Pastor Jeff Bessey officiating. Interment followed. Funeral services entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard funeral director.
