Passed away into peace on the 29th of December  at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, Mrs. Harriet Fennemore in her 66th year. Harriet leaves behind her daughters Alvina (Wade), Marian (Clay), Vanessa (Justin), Denise (Chris), Noreen (Sean), Step son Baxter (Gloria), Step daughter Janice (Tom), Fifteen grand children and six great grandchildren, sisters Sharon and Catherine and Brothers John and Wilson, her good friend Gloria Patey as well as many other relatives and friends. Visitation took place at the Funeral home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service, which was held from the Saint Anthony United church in St. Anthony  on the 1st of January, 2014 with Rev. John McGonigle, Dm officiating. Burial followed the service in the United Cemetery at Fishing point. Funeral arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

PATEY, GEORGE ALFRED

Passed away into peace on the 25th of December 2014, at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital, Mr. George Alfred Patey of Main Brook, at the age of 79 years. Left  to mourn are his dear  wife of 51 years Juanita,  his children Iris, Kathryn (Dennis), Jean (Steve), and Brian (Lisa) as well as his grandchildren Aaron, Marc (Robin), Samantha, Davin, Tylee (Christopher), Zane, Leah (Casey), Aaron, Riley and Great grandchildren Landon, Zander, Richard and Owen. George was predeceased by his son Lindsay, Father James Hedderson and Step mother Emma, Mother Rose Mackie, Step Father James Mackie, Sister Elizabeth and Brother Leonard. We will be sadly missed by all.  Visitation was held at the United Church in Main Brook, from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on the 29th of December with Rev. John McGongile officiating, burial followed the service in the united cemetery. Funeral arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M. Passed away peacefully at the Health Science Center on the 21st day of December 2013. Mr. Eddie David Compton Of Englee, NL was in his 75th year. He leaves to mourn his wife Louise Compton, Step Daughters Shirley Compton(Hubert), Alfreda Kosher(Wayne), Step Sons James Compton (Betty), Kevin Compton(Connie), Edward Compton (Rita), Alfred Compton(Paulette), Sister Cavell Lane(Raymond), Brother Charlie Ellsworth(Alzena), Seventeen Grandchildren,  Twenty Great Grandchildren, Seven Nephews, and Two Nieces as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Earnest Compton and Margaret Ellsworth and Step Son Henry Comtpn. Visitation was held at the Pentecostal  Church in Englee from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on the 28th day of December 2013 with Pastor Sansome officiating. Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Center on the 17th day of December 2013. Mrs. Stella Florence Compton of Bide Arm was in her 88th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires her twelve children Ruth Randell, Maude (Carl) Elliott, Mona (Charles) Tucker, Loretta (Eric) Curtis, Earl (Anita) Compton, Eric (Patricia) Compton, Iris (Kevin) Karpovich, Evelyn Compton (Ronald Sotnikow), Baxter (Sylvie)Compton, Dennis Compton, Phyllis (Randy) Franklin, Selma Bradley and daughter-in-law Irina Compton; Twenty-Four Grandchildren, Twenty-Five Great Grandchildren and Four Great- Great grandchildren, Three Sisters Pearl Keefe, Maude Cull and Lucy Tetford, along with her remaining in-laws Verna Gillard, Velma Compton, George and Nellie Compton as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Luke, Son Frederick Compton, Two Granddaughters Jessica Jane Compton and Wendy Nicole Powell, her parents Frederick and Bessie Gillard, her Two Brothers Baxter Gillard and Infant Frederick William Gillard. Visitation was held at the Apostolic Faith Church in Bide Arm from which the fuenral service was held at 2:00pm on the 28th day od December2013 with Rev. Chris Hewlett officiating. Passed away peacefully at Chancellor Park Residences in St. Johns on the 14th of November, 2013, Gladys Louise Cull, age 86 of St. John’s (originally of Great Brehat).  Gladys was the last of her generation; she was predeceased by her brothers Able, Albert, Uriah and Joshua, as well as her sisters Ethel, Beatrice, Mariah and Minnie. She was surrounded by many cousins and nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Out of many sisters and brothers in laws She shared a special relationship with Dorothy Tucker, to whom she was true sister.  The visitation was held at the Funeral home in St. Anthony, after which the Funeral service took place at 2:00pm on November 17th from the Saint Anthony United church in St. Anthony with Rev. Stephanie McClellan officiating. Burial followed in the United cemetery in Great Brehat. Funeral arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M.
