It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Eldred Mclean announced his peaceful passing on April 27,2025 at his home in Green Island Cove at the age of 86 years. Eldred was a loving and devoted husband, father, Father-in-law, brother, grandfather, & great grandfather.
Eldred was a devoted fisherman who worked tirelessly to provide the best life he could for his family.
After retiring from fishing Eldred, spent most of his time in the country whether it was cutting wood, berry picking, and gardening.
Left with Fond and loving memories he leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years ( Lydia McLean ) Sons : Rodney & Floyd ( Maxine) , Daughters: Selma ( Kevin) & Karen ( Keif), Grandchildren: Keith ( Nadine) , Kerry ( Mindy), Jeremy ( Janna), Josh ( Laura), Nash, Rodney & Daniel, Great Grandchildren: Faith, Blair, Shyanne, Kennedy, Brayah & Kolt, sisters & brothers and a large circle of family & friends.
Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Eldred’s laughter, kindness, and unwavering love will be treasured always.
The family service will take place on April 30,2025 8:00 PM at St Andrews Church in Lower Cove. The funeral service will take place on May 1, 2025 at 2 PM at St Andrews Church in Lower Cove with Rev. Canon Short officiating. Interment to follow.
