Passed away January 22, 2020 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 77 years. Christine was born on July 5, 1942 in Cooks Harbour, NL. She met the love of her life, George Carroll in Cooks Harbour, in 1961 they married and moved to Locks Cove. In 1966 George and Christine moved to St. Anthony where they raised their three children. Christine had many jobs through her life including working at St. Anthony Motel, Flavour Crisp Chicken, and Fishery Products where she worked until her retirement in 1992. Throughout her years, Christine was a happy and enthusiastic person, enjoying a good game of darts, bingo and cards. George and Christine will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She leaves to mourn her husband, George; Children, Larry (Mona), Leona (Vincent), Todd (Cathy); Grandchildren, Jonathan (Mandy), Andrew (Lindsey), Janessa, Chad (Dana), Emma; Great-Grandchildren, Isaac, Grayson, Clark, Gracie; Very Special Friends Ruby and Laverne; as well as a large circle of family and relatives. Visitation was held from Kerry M Fillatre’s Funeral Home in St. Anthony until the funeral on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 2:00 pm at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in St. Anthony with Rev. Deacon Arthur Kinsella officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, Funeral Director.
