PARSONS, LAVINIA

 Lavinia was born on June 06, 1952 to Howard and Ella Pilgrim of Main Brook.

She married Albert Chesley Parsons at Roddickton on November 26, 1970. They raised 4 children: Marvin, Howard, Dannie and Patricia.

Lavinia lived her life to the fullest, enjoying the great outdoors including ski-dooing, ice fishing and going to the cabin up in the country. She also loved to cook and entertain.

In her working years, she was employed with different fish plants including Roddickton, Bide Arm and other plants across NL and Nova Scotia.

She gave her heart to the Lord on March 05, 2021 and was so happy for this decision which gave her such peace in the midst of her time of sickness.

After a short stay in the Curtis Memorial Hospital at St. Anthony, Lavinia passed peacefully away in the early hours of April 16, 2021 surrounded by loving family.

Lavinia was predeceased by: Her dad and mom: Howard and Ella Pilgrim, Brothers: Chesley, Ronald and wife Ivy, Alfred, Graham and Scott. Sister: Mae Noseworthy

July 12, 1944 - March 21, 2021

Patsy Randell passed peacefully surrounded by family on March 21, 2021. Born on July 12, 1944 in St. Anthony, NL. She was a resident of Bide Arm. She was a Christian woman all her life, attended church faithfully, was a choir member and Sunday school teacher. She was well known in her community and surrounding communities. A loving friend to everyone and was loved by all. She was always there to help everyone. If she couldn’t visit she would call. She was the people’s person and will be sadly missed by many. She was incredibly proud of children, her 8 grandchildren 9 Great Grandchildren, numerous cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved her family and was always there for them. She took care of her family until her passing. Her concern was not to have her family worry about her. Patsy was best known for reaching out to people, not only in their time of need but all the time. That was her passion and her mission in life.

She is survived by husband Frank Randell and her 4 children; Bobby Randell, Golda Cassell & Kaye Randell, Todd (Mona) Randell; Grandchildren; Shelley, Kelsea, Colby, Morgan, Tyson, Ashley, Adam and Bailey; Great Grandchildren, Joshua, Hannah, Jaxon, Jayce, Harley, Curtis, Kaci, Rylee and Brianna. She is also survived by four sisters and two brothers; Sisters, Juanita Randell, Iris (Robert) Keefe, Katie (Clarence) Hancock, Verna Reid; Brothers, Gideon Newman and Wyatt Newman; Special Sister Kimmie, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Maxwell and Gladys Newman Predeceased by son Glenn Randell, Dec 3, 1976.

The funeral service is to take place from the Apostolic Faith Church in Bide Arm on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Canning officiating. The funeral will be live streamed on Facebook under Howard Canning. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Janeway Children’s hospital in St. John’s. It is with great sadness that we, the family of the Don Way, Flower’s Cove announce his passing on the evening of March 25, 2021 at the age of 70 years.  He leaves behind his son Ramsey (Lisa) and daughter Trudy (Shannon), his brothers Alvin (Vera), Bruce (Sandra) and Lewis (Marina), sister in laws Thamsie, Gloria (Nelson), Elva and Lynn, grandchildren Theo, Lily, Claire and special friend Shelia.  As well he leaves behind many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Don was a man loved by many with friends far and wide.  Please think of him with a smile to celebrate his life. PEYTON, GOLDIE ESTHER

May 15, 1953 – March 17, 2021

On March 17 Goldie passed peacefully away at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony. Goldie was born in Griquet to Kenneth and Edith Adams on May 5, 1953 as the second youngest of 8 children. She married Alvin Peyton on March 26 1976 and together they raised 3 daughters. Goldie was a quiet, kind, loveable lady who had a great love for her family and friends. Her door was always open and everyone was always welcomed with a “come on in, don’t mind your boots.” She was an active member of the Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle until her illness wouldn’t allow her to do so anymore. She loved WM meetings, always volunteered for VBS and any other Children’s church activities. She was always there to help. She was a great knitter, baker, and cook. There was never a recipe in her books that she wouldn’t try. She spent countless hours putting together puzzles with her friends. Goldie will forever and always be missed and loved by her 3 Daughters; Bonnie, Lisa, and Heather; Brother, George (Dorothy); Sister, Shirley (Valance) as well as a large circle of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her Husband, Alvin; Parents, Edith and Kenneth Adams; Sister, Nellie; Brothers, Harold, William, Melvin, Wilson and her good Friends Muriel and Mae Peyton. EARLE, ELIZABETH MARY

Elizabeth was born on August 12, 1945 to Bessie and William Hillier in St. Lunaire-Griquet. She married Ronald Earle in 1968 and as a result of their union, they were blessed with eight beautiful children (5 sons and 3 daughters) as well as 15 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren). Elizabeth was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her life revolved around her family and friends; she enjoyed connecting with the through her many phone calls. Besides her time with family, she enjoyed playing cards, picking berries, nurturing her flowers, reading, baking bread, knitting, and interacting with church activities. Elizabeth was a hard worker, she worked in the fish plant most of her life where she made many long-lasting friendships. Elizabeth will be remembered for her big, kind heart and warm smile by all who knew her. On March 16, 2021 she passed away at her home in St. Lunaire-Griquet at age 75. She leaves to mourn her Children, Morgan (Christina), Rodger (Eva), Ricky (Jessica), Barry (Daina), Keith (Deanne), Cathy (Darryl), Angela (Reza) as well as her 15 Grandchildren, 11 Greatgrandchildren; Sister, Rita Fillier (Wilson), as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. COOMBS, GEORGE

George Coombs passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 4th, 2021 at the age of 88. His battle with serious medical issues over the last few years showed his determination courage and bravery to fight to stay with his family despite his pain. George was a hero in the eyes of his family and stayed strong until the end.

George leaves to mourn the love of his life Mamie Coombs. They were married for 63 years and had 4 children: Myrtle (John Claude), Walter (Jocelyn), Cindy and Brada (Bruce). George also leaves his grandchildren, Casey, Cindy, Jarrett (Natasha) and Braden. Great grandchildren: Dawson, Deja and a large circle of family and friends.

George is predeceased by his daughter, Cindy; his mom and dad Walter and Amelia Coombs; Brothers, Jake and John and sisters Matilda, Ruby, Myrtle and Caroline.

George will be greatly missed by all who were lucky to have met him with his strong and witty personality and the love he had for his family.

The family would like to extent a heartfelt thanks to the ER staff and Medics at SBIHC for their kindness and amazing care shown to George during his many visits and his last few days.

The viewing will be held at K M Fillatre’s Funeral Home St. Anthony and George will be laid to rest at St. Mary Anglican Cemetery in Black Duck Cove.
