RANDELL, EDITH "ETTIE"

Promoted to glory on Sunday April 17th, 2022 at the Health Science Centre at the age of 96 years. Edith Randell formally of Englee.

Predeceased by her husband Roland, parents Theophilus and Delphina Canning, brothers Simon and Hurbert Canning, grandson Joey Poole, great granddaughter Nevaeh Denine, son-in-law Merrick Snow.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her loving children: Nita (Raymond), Patsy (Jack), Don (Ruby), George (Joan), Rosie, Olive (Joe), Frances (Gerry), Regina (Wilfred), David (Yvonne), Frank (Darlene) and Majors Randy and Lisa, her brother Warrick (Millicent), sister Anne Blanchard (The Late Leander), 26 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and a special boy Nathan.

Thank you to the staff of Cambridge Estates and 4 South HSC for the care, compassion and professionalism given to Edith during her time with them.

Private visitations are being held at the Salvation Army Church in Englee, from which the funeral service will be held at 11am on the 24th of April with Major Pelley officiating. burial to follow in the church cemetery. ELLSWORTH, WAVEY ISABELLA

Wavey Isabella (Stevens) Ellsworth
November 13th, 1950 - February 6th, 2022

Wavey Isabella Ellsworth was born on November 13th, 1950 to Kenneth and Eva Stevens. Wavey grew up in Main Brook and later found employment in Pasadena, Port au Choix, Corner Brook and Yellowknife. She met and married her husband Ron Ellsworth on April 16th, 1968. They had a beautiful daughter named Diane. She was the joy of their lives. They moved to Englee following their retirement. Wavey was predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Eva Stevens, daughter Diane and brother Clyde. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are:
Husband Ron Ellsworth Granddaughter Bianka (Jeremy) Great Grandsons Remy and Gio. Brothers: Jim (Sis) Stevens, Stanley (Sadie) Stevens, Tom (Gail) Stevens, Walter (Barbara) Stevens, Kenneth jr. (Christine) Stevens and Edward (Sherry) Stevens. Sisters Ann Stevens, Elaine (Ward) Sampson and Lavenia (Rhuben) Elliott A number of nieces and nephews and a large number of relatives and friends. The Memorial service was held at the Salvation Army Church in Englee with Major Lillian Pelley Officiating, Burial took place after the service at the Englee Salvation army Community Cemetery. RANDELL, CHATFIELD

Chatfield Alemenda Randell (Chattie) February 13th, 1918- May 19th, 2017
Chattie took her heavenly flight at the age of 99 on May 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Rudolph and son Clifford and is survived by children Marie(Spurgeon), Alfreda, Hazel(Ron), Clement(Doris), Meletta(Clyde), Mark(Loretta), Richard(Jean), Jean(Eugene), sisters Hetty Hempshall(Sheffield England), Nellie Humby-Roddickton along with 34 grandchildren and more than 160 great and great-great grandchildren and a large number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to being a loving, dedicated wife and mother to a large family, Chattie spent over 70 years in faithful service with the United Church of Canada as a lay reader and Sunday school teacher.
Her legacy of love and faith is a blessed gift to her family and to the lives of those she impacted throughout her long life. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday May 25th at 2pm ,with visitation on Tuesday May 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Wednesday May 24th from 2-4 pm.

Passed peacefully away at the White Bay Health Center in Roddickton on the 27th day of February 2014. Mr. George Garland Compton of Englee was in his 88th year. He leaves to mourn with cherished and loving memories his Wife of 64 years Nellie Compton,(Englee), Son Morgan(Bobbi)Compton, Fort McMurray, AB., Daughters Mae(David)Gill, Englee, NL., Frances(Garfield)Newman, Englee, NL., Judy Denney(Partner Ted Crouser), Edmonton, AB., Sheila(Ivan) Tymchuk, Sudbury, ON., fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren as well as a large circle of family and friends.  He was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Eve Compton and two Brothers Albert and Luke. Visitation was held at The Apostolic Faith Church in Englee from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on the 3rd day of March 2014 with Pastor George Burton and Pastor Fred Randell officiating. Internment was held at the Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

Taken from this life at the White Bay Central Health Center in Roddickton at the young age of 48 years Mrs. Theresa Mary Mitchell of Englee. Left with heavy hearts to mourn her passing are her partner of 35 years Frank Parsons, her Daughters Joanne (Dwayne) of Englee NL., and Darlene (Shawn) of Englee NL., granddaughters Destiny and Cynthia and her mother Janet Mitchell, as well as 3 brothers, 5 sister, and a large circle of family and friends. Visitation took place at the Salvation Army Church in Englee, from which the funeral service took place at 3:00pm on the 14th of November with Major Bingle officiating. Passed away suddenly at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 12th of October, 2013 at the age of 63 Mrs. Joyce Olive Fillier, of Englee NL. Joyce leaves behind her husband Garfield Fillier, her sons Jeffery (Denna) Fillier of Englee, Craig (Cindy) Fillier of Vancouver B. C., Shawn (Darlene) Fillier of Englee, Jason (Colleen) Fillier of Cap ele NB, Damian (Robin) Fillier of Fort Macmurry, Daughters Debbie (Kevin) of Goose Bay and Paulette (Mohammed) of Alexandria Egypt, Brother Hiram (Leona) Randell of Goose Bay, Sisters Jessie Burden of Gander, Ethel (Roy) Pilgrim of Goose Bay, Mildred Campbell of Goose Bay, Alma (David) Hynes of Twillingate, and Margaret (Hubert) Burden of Goose Bay. Taken from this life at the young age of 26, Ms. Denika “Angle” Ellsworth of Englee, at the Health Science Center in St. John’s on the 13th of July 2013.
