Roy Maxwell Elliott, of Raleigh NL, passed peacefully away in St. John’s NL, in his 93rd year.
Leaving to mourn with loving memories his son Ross (Thelma); sister-in-law Lillian Whitt; in-laws Scott Rowsell, Fred Budgell, and Mabel Taylor; Ruby, Robert, and Tony (Belinda) Best; niece Janet (Joe) Pitaro, nephews Bill (Louisa) and Rod (Tiffany) Budgell, Wade (Kelly) and Brad (Shiella) Whitt, and Tony Taylor, and families; Gerry (Trina), Bobbie-Lynn (Jamie Reardon), Michael (Colleen), and Courtney Best, and families; many caring and loved cousins; and a large number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by wife Grace (née Taylor); Evangeline Best; son David; parents Gershom and Ida (Richards) Elliott; brother Ross; sister, Jean; parents-in-law Arch and Jane (Wright) Taylor; sisters-in-law Hazel Rowsell and Marion Budgell; brothers-in-law Gordon (Phyllis), Bill, and Cyril Taylor; and Calvert Best.

Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday July 22, 2021 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Visitation will also take place at the United Church, Raleigh on Sunday July 25, 2021 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral service will follow on Monday July 26, 2021 at 2:00pm with Rev. Georgina Parsons officiating. Interment to follow. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, Funeral Director.
