TUCKER, ALLAN ROY

Passed away peacefully surrounded by Family at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, Mr. Allan Roy Tucker of Quirpon NL, in his 79th year. Left behind to mourn his loss are his beloved wife of 53 years Linda, his Children Deon Kelloway (Christa), Dereck Tucker (Jennifer) and Debbie Humby (Chris); his Brothers Levi (Nina - Deceased), Roland (Minnie), Les (Millicent), Carl (Joyce), Wilburt (Irene), Sister Pearl Earl (Herb), Brothers Alwin (Millicent) and Gary (Marion); his grandchildren Charlie, Morgan, Megan, Jack, Sam, and his Great Great Grandchildren Logan, Brooke, Brittney and Anwen. Roy was predeceased by his parents Arch and Aurelia and tragically, his grandson David. A celebration of Roy’s life will be held by the family at a later date, after which burial will take place at the Quirpon Community Cemetery in Quirpon NL.

PILGRIM, DAVID GRAHAM

David Graham Pilgrim was born September 15, 1963 in St. Anthony, NL. He is the firstborn child of Donald and Dulcie Pilgrim. He was predeceased by his father Donald in April 2004. David leaves behind to mourn his loving mother Dulcie, Siblings Mona (Todd), Dean ( Trixie ), Marsha ( Norman), Maxine (Perry.) He had no children of his own but played a huge role in the lives of his nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Nicole ( Trevor), Blair ( Sarah), Brandon ( Kayla), Brady (Marissa ), Reghan, Toby and Kylie. Great nieces Addison, Ariel and Audrey. David spent most of his adult life working with his father, Donald and brother, Dean in the family trucking and logging business in Roddickton. He spent the last 3 summers working with his sister Maxine and brother in law Perry in Ft. McMurray. David will be remembered for his love of family and friends. He had a large circle of friends far and near. He has been known as “Uncle Dave” to many. He had a gentle spirit and a heart of gold. He loved checking in with everyone as he made his rounds around town in his beloved truck. David had a great love of the outdoors. He was always the first one ready to head off on a skidooing or boating adventure. He was the life of a party and couldn’t wait to get out on the dance floor or play the garbage bag. David passed away suddenly in his sleep on June 7, 2020 leaving many saddened hearts. He will be deeply missed by all. He leaves to mother, Dulcie Pilgrim; Siblings, Mona Flynn (Todd), Dean Pilgrim (Trixie), Marsha Pilgrim (Norman), Maxine Tobin (Perry); Nieces and Nephews, Nicole, Brandon, Brady, Blair, Reghan, Kylie, Toby, Addison, Ariel, Audrey, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. David was predeceased his Father, Don Pilgrim. A small family funeral service was held at the Calvary Pentecostal Temple in Roddickton on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 with Pastor Mark Locke officiating. TAYLOR, MAMIE VICTORIA

March 1, 1930 - June 5, 2020 Born and raised in Raleigh, NL Mamie passed peacefully away at the age of 90 in her home, with her loving family by her side. Straight out of high school, Mamie taught school at St. Anthony Bight. She married Garland November 9th, 1949. She also spent 32 years as the post mistress in Raleigh. Mamie loved life and was very Social lady who enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family. She was particularly fond of travelling, as well as time Spent at the cabin snowmobiling, smelting and Cookouts. As well, she was an active member of the UCW, and a great support to the Church. She was avid gardener and had a great passion for flowers. She will be forever missed and admired by all who knew and loved her. She had zest for life and was a light to all she met. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children, Lloyd (Shelley), Ronald (Judy), Donna Smith (Welgia), Joanne Bailey (Trevor) and Kimberly Taylor (John); grandchildren, Steven (Amanda), Rocky (Skye), Marteen (Tyler), Sheena (Leighton), Stephanie (Robert), Jessica (Alex), Damian (Amie) and Cindy (Mark); great grandchildren, Sienna, Mason, Xavier, Alexander, Anna, Brooklynn, Aleigh, Reagan, Madison, Mason and Everly; sisters, Vera Budgell, Vie Rowsell and Brothers, Ed Johnson (Kay) and Hector Bussey (Ann);. Sisters-in-law, Marjorie Taylor, Mary Taylor and Shirley Smith. As Well as large circle of relatives and friends, including daughter-in-law, Kay Taylor. She was predeceased by her husband, Garland; her parents, Walter and Melissa Taylor; her brothers, Cecil Taylor (Nellie), Doug Smith and Roy Bussey (Mae).

Passed away into peace on the 31st day of May, 2020, Emmie Jane Gladys Strangemore. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her Children; Perry (Lillian), Lisa(Bob) , Isabella (Chris) & Tiffany (Vern) ; sister Bessie (Stan)& brothers Claude (Donna) & Lou (Emma), sister in law Rachel ; grandchildren: Laura (Corey), Alana, Kyle, Kiana, Dylan, Kaden & Kameron ; great grandson Brody, As well as nieces , nephews, extended family & friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Roland Williams , second husband Maitland Hughes ; parents Richard & Isabella Coates ;brother Curtis. The family extends its deepest gratitude to the residents of Richfell place for being a second family to our mother & for being there for her in the past few months when she needed you all the most.

On Saturday, May 23, 2020 Isabella Hillier, loving mother and family matriarch, passed away at the age of 92. Isabella was born on May 15, 1928 in Bide Arm, NL to Obediah & Leah (Randell) Canning. Isabella had a passion for helping and providing services for others. Her passions included: knitting, crocheting and crafting of all sorts. She faithfully served her church. She was known for her infectious smile and kind and compassionate spirit toward all. Isabella was predeceased by her father, Obediah, her mother, Leah and brother Hayward; husbands George Adams and Hedley Hillier; son Roy Adams, and grandson Cory Gillard. She is survived by her loving children: Marilyn (Ford), Juanita (Andrew), Leah (Rex), Ruth (Don), Charles (Elizabeth), Sue, Fern (Sterling), Don (Angela), Phyllis (Tim) and Angela (Wade). Also left to mourn are a large circle of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, a very large, loving family. She will also be missed by a large circle of friends. A family funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Apostolic Faith Church, Bide Arm, NL. A memorial for family and friends is being planned for a later date, due to current restrictions.
