It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nellie Smith announce her passing at the John M. Gray Center in St. Anthony on June 28, 2021 at the age of 84 years. She was a hardworking woman who dearly loved her family and done all she could to provide for them. Nellie will be sadly missed by her husband of 67 years, Willis Smith; her sons, Ralph (Bride), Abiel (Pansy) Hedley (Jean), Gary; Daughters, Janice (Richard), Joan (Phil), Judy (Barry), Patsy, Maisie, Valerie (Toma); 16 Grandchildren, 23 Greatgrandchildren; Sister, Gertie Bolger, as well as a large circle of Nieces, Nephews, and other extended family. Nellie is predeceased by her parents, John and Elsie Taylor, 2 Children, 3 Grandchildren; Brothers, Harvey and Norman; Sisters, Ethel, Stella as well as her Mother and Father-in-law, Drucella and John Smith. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1st at the United Church in Raleigh to be followed by the Private Funeral Service at 2:00 pm with Rev. Deacon Arthur Kinsella officiating.
