Willis Rayfield Hancock.

Willis was born on February 3, 1933 to Gideon and Grace Hancock.
Brother Willis met the love of his life, - Dulcie Blanche Hodge and was married on November 11, 1952 at Roddickton.  They were blessed with six children: Grant, Cora, Randy, Diane, Morgan, and Billy.  After giving his heart to the Lord in 1957 , he faithfully attended Church with his family. Bro. Willis was known for giving an inspiring testimony which vividly showed his excitement  of been saved. Willis was a well-respected man in this community and surrounding communities. He worked with the department of Highways foe 30 years.  He was a very hard worker who worked many long hours at his company - Canada Bay Construction for 32 years.  After he retired from the company, he loved to go for a ride and visit the jobs sites of his employees just to see how things were going and have a chat. In July of 2007 he suffered a stroke that left him somewhat immobile but still he would attend Church whenever he could.  He was admitted to the Curtis Memorial Hospital on January 4, 2017 then on December 20, 2018  he moved to the John Grey Center. Recently  he became ill and was hospitalized until Monday August 10,  2020 around 3 am when he took his heavenly flight to meet his Lord and Master whom he served faithfully for many years. He was predeceased by his Parents – Gideon & Grace Hancock: Wife - Dulcie: Son – Morgan.

Sons:Grant (Ann), Randy (Marilyn), Billy (Teri-Lynn), Daughters:, Cora (Glen), Diane (Kirby), Brothers:, Fred (Marie), Ford (Carol), Dennis (Pauline), Kirby (Bertha), Sisters:, Winnie, Yvonne,Lillian (Allan), Jean (Clarence), Nancy (Bruce), Barbara (George), Sisters-in-law:, Gladys Cooper, Cora Cassidy And a large circle of grandchildren and great grandchildren and family and friends.

The funeral service and visitation was held at the apostolic faith Church in Roddickton NL, on the 13th of August, 2020 with Rev. Christopher Hewlett and Rev. Rene Cassell officiating, burial followed in the church cemetery. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.
