September 22, 1945 - July 23, 2020

Beulah Yvonne Genge was born in Hatchet Cove, Trinity Bay, on September 22, 1945.  It is with deep sadness that we announce her passing on July 23, 2020.  Beulah passed away peacefully at Pleasant View Towers, St. John’s, NL. Beulah moved to Anchor at the young age of 16 to teach in an all grade school. Soon after, she met and married Elijah Genge and they had two children, William (Bill) and Caroline. Beulah had an impact on the lives of many, with her huge heart and wealth of kindness. She opened her heart and home to all who met her. She was well known for her kindness and her love of family.  She enjoyed Bingo and playing cards, as well as baking delicious pies and sweets to share with family and friends.

Beulah will be remembered by her son William (Bill), daughter Caroline, daughter-in-law Delores, son-in-law Kevin, grandchildren Jonathan and Charli (Cody), as well as her brothers John Bishop (Mildred), Harvey Bishop (Linda); sisters Ruby Bishop, Muriel Parsons, Clarice Tucker, Ida Glover; brothers-in-law Lambert Genge, Rufus Genge; sisters-in law Joyce Genge, Sophia Genge, Naomi Genge, Marilyn Bishop, Evelyn Bishop.

Beulah was predeceased by her loving husband Elijah; parents John and Alice Bishop; brothers Eldon Bishop, Malcolm Bishop, Claude Bishop, Cecil Bishop, sister Effie Hart; brothers-in-law John Genge, Ernest Parsons, Harold Tucker, Leslie Hart, Lionel Glover

The family would like to sincerely thank all who provided support, love and kindness during this time of great loss.

Private viewing and funeral service to take place on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Deacon Vernon Short officiating at the Anchor Point Anglican Cemetery, Interment to follow. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Alicia Patey, Funeral Director.
