Passed peacefully away on the 17th day of December 2013 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital. Mr. Cecil Lloyd Patey of St. Anthony was in his 78th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children Kirby(Priscilla), Leona(Gerald), Carolann(Robert), Betty(Overton), Sandra(Eric)Rhonda, Tommy and step- daughter Gail(Tom), ten grandchildren,  brothers Jacob and Archibald(Maisie) and Sister Blanche(Ron) as well as special friend Olive Saunders.  He was predeceased by his wife Sybil, parents Moses and Clara Patey, brothers Gideon and Clarence and Sisters Louise and Una. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony from which the funeral service was held on the 20th day of December 2013 at 2:00pm from the Salvation Army church in St. Anthony with Major Dinzel Baggs officiating. Passed away into peace on the 11th of December, 2013 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, Mrs. Evelyn Mary Campbell of Cooks Harbour, in her 66th year. Left behind to mourn her loss together are her dear husband of 48 years Lyle, her sons Lorne (Gladys), and Lloyd (Kim), as well as her sisters and brothers Delphine (Len), Charles (Joy), Emanuel (Joan), Greta (Ches), Andrew (Marilyn), Paul (Debbie), Ray and Angeline (Maurice), Grand children Darryl (Jenna), Cory (Kayla), Jake (Trina), and Teala (Chad), Great Grandchildren Hayley, Dylan, Tyson and Logan. Visitation was held at the United Church in Cooks Harbour, from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on the 15th of December at 2:00pm with Rev. Gus Pendleton and Alf Larkin officiating. burial followed the service in the united cemetery at Cape Norman. Funeral Arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M. Passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 29th day of November 2013. Mrs. Jessie Eileen Hillier was in her 67 year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires her husband of forty-eight years John, Sons Paul(Sonya), Todd(Elaine), Daughter Nadine(Michael), Mother Julia Newman, Brothers Ambrose and Neil, Sister Patsy, seven grandchildren Samantha, Jonathon, Carly, Zachary, Lindsey, Benjamin, and Brooklyn, one great-grandchild Austin as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her father Benjamin Newman. Visitation was held at The Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in Griquet followed by the funeral service on the 2nd of December 2013 at 2:00pm with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. She was predeceased by her husband Harvey Hillier, Brothers Allan, George, Gordon, Chesley, Sisters Pearl, Lucy, Olive, Ruby, half sister Rhoda, Parents John and Rhoda Pilgrim, Son Alvin, Daughters Ruby and Lona. Passed away peacefully at Chancellor Park Residences in St. Johns on the 14th of November, 2013, Gladys Louise Cull, age 86 of St. John’s (originally of Great Brehat).  Gladys was the last of her generation; she was predeceased by her brothers Able, Albert, Uriah and Joshua, as well as her sisters Ethel, Beatrice, Mariah and Minnie. She was surrounded by many cousins and nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Out of many sisters and brothers in laws She shared a special relationship with Dorothy Tucker, to whom she was true sister.  The visitation was held at the Funeral home in St. Anthony, after which the Funeral service took place at 2:00pm on November 17th from the Saint Anthony United church in St. Anthony with Rev. Stephanie McClellan officiating. Burial followed in the United cemetery in Great Brehat. Funeral arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M. Taken from this life at the White Bay Central Health Center in Roddickton at the young age of 48 years Mrs. Theresa Mary Mitchell of Englee. Left with heavy hearts to mourn her passing are her partner of 35 years Frank Parsons, her Daughters Joanne (Dwayne) of Englee NL., and Darlene (Shawn) of Englee NL., granddaughters Destiny and Cynthia and her mother Janet Mitchell, as well as 3 brothers, 5 sister, and a large circle of family and friends. Visitation took place at the Salvation Army Church in Englee, from which the funeral service took place at 3:00pm on the 14th of November with Major Bingle officiating. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond James Elms announce his peaceful passing at the Palliative Care Unit Western Memorial Hospital, Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at the age of 94 years. Leaving to mourn son David (Sandra), Corner Brook; Daughter Jackie (Wally), Steady Brook;  grand-children:  Jonathan (Amanda); Jennifer; Jeremy and Andrew;  great grand-son, Davis Raymond; step-granddaughters Emily and Meghan; Step- great grandson, Max; brother, Lewis (Jessie), And a large Circle of family and friends who were a big part of his life. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Josie Elms (June 30, 2002). Dad left a positive impression on everyone who met him. He was known for his infectious sense of humor and his treasure chest of Stories, all of which will be greatly missed. A celebration of his life took place on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 3:00 p.m. At St. Mary's Anglican Church, Father Paul Findlay officiating. Interment took place at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of Sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of One’s choice. He was predeceased by parents Caleb and Rosanna Warren, his brothers Isaac, Ford, and Whyman, his sisters Violet Woodward and Jessie Carroll, and Great Grandson Brenden Warrren.  Visitation was held at the St. Matthews Anglican church in Cook’s Harbour from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on the 7th of November 2013 with  Rev. Passed away into peaceful rest at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. Johns on the 14th of October2013 after a struggle with illness, Mr. Garland Wilson Weir of Roddickton in his 67th year. Garland leaves behind with a lifetime of loving memories his wife of 37 years Patricia, his son David (Annie-Mae), Daughter Helga (Scott Parsons), grandson Jordan Weir, Granddaughter Amber Weir, Four sisters and One Brother. The Visitation was held at the Calvary Pentecostal Temple in Roddickton, from which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on the Saturday October 19, 2013 with pastor G. B. Pinksen officiating.
