COLES, BRIAN

May 28th, 1966 - April 24th, 2020

Brian was born on May 28th, 1966 to Maxwell and Gladys Coles of Savage Cove. Brian was a little brother to Kevin, Marilyn, Dean and Hen, and a special grandson to ‘Grammy’ who lived with them. Brian grew up amongst his many cousins and friends. He was always a kind-hearted man who enjoyed a laugh, had time to talk with everyone, and could certainly be a ‘hard-ticket’, although his mom would never say so. Brian left school and joined his father and brothers on their dragger. Out in boat and at home, Brian was an excellent cook. Whether Brian was coming from the dragger or from jigging in the small boat, when he landed at the wharf he always made sure to share a meal with those who looked forward to a feed of fish, especially his parents and his in-laws. On October 3rd, 1998, Brian married Heather, and they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Allie and Hilary. Brian was so proud of his girls; he wanted them to do well and he loved them unconditionally. Brian also loved their dog Zoey. Brian always enjoyed a chat, a trip in the woods, driving around, and knowing about his extended family. Brian passed away at the young age of 53 years, at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony with his wife, two daughters and brother at his side. He will always be remembered for the wonderful person he was and the memories he shared with those he loved will be forever cherished. God bless Brian.

He leaves to mourn with loving memories wife Heather Coles, daughters Allie Coles (special friend Mitchell White) and Hilary Coles, and his dog Zoey. Brothers: Dean Coles (Patsy) and George Henry Coles (Emma). Father in law Harrison White. Brothers-in-law Maitland Samson, and Wayne White (Karen). Sisters-in laws Cindy White (Glen) and Trudy Coles(Lloyd). Nieces and Nephews Samanda Williams (Gorvin), Dwayne Coles (Salome), Kelly Samson, Sean Samson (Sacha), Gere Coles, Jordan White, Jeffery White, Kaitlin Coles, Chantelle Coles, Haley White. Great Nephews and nieces: Leanne Williams, Trav Williams, Brooke Coles, Madison Coles, Maverick Samson and Easton White. Special Aunt Sarah Way as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Brian is predeceased by parents Maxwell and Gladys Coles, Brother Kevin Coles, Sister Marilyn Samson, and the only grandparent he knew “Grammy Coles”. Mother-in-law Bernadette White, niece Jennifer White, special cousin/friend Randy Coles and a circle of aunts and uncles.

The funeral took place from the Savage Cove Anglican Cemetery on Monday, April 27, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Deacon Vernon Short officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Alicia Patey, Funeral Director.
