Passed peacefully away on Friday the 12th day of September 2014 at the White Bay Central Health Centre in Roddickton. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires his wife of forty-six years Marie, his Children Gerry(Kerri), Melissa(Mark), Roxanne(Greg), Colleen(Steve), and Sheldon, His Grandchildren Myah, Torri, Lucas, Karlei, Caitlin, Amy, Benjamin, Gregory, Kyle, and Jake, Brothers Gerald and Vincent(Lucy), Sisters Rose(Calvin), Mary(Lar), Laura(Don), Margaret(Art), and Theresa as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends who all loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his Parents Elias and Margaret Byrne and Sister Sadie. The Funeral Mass took place at 2:00pm on 15th day of September 2014 from the Sacred Heart Church in Conche with Father Vitus Echedo officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Homes Ltd., St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger Funeral Director.
