Passed away on December 10, 2020 from the John M. Gray in St. Anthony at the age of 79 years, Mary Williams of Forrester’s Point. She shared her loving memories with her Husband, George T. Williams; Children, Darlene (Craig), Winsor (Sandra), Frances (Michael), Irene, George; Grandchildren, Martina (Logan), Santana (Damien), Farrah (John), Crystal, Keegan, Jaxon; Great-Grandchildren, Whitney, Mya, Kane, Nash, Kate, Lily; Siblings, Sheila (Gideon), Bill (Gwen), Donald (Dulcie), Stewart (Rowena); Sister-in-law, Rita, as well as a large circle of family and friends. She is predeceased by her Son, Curlene; Daughter, Dulcie; Parents, Soloman and Phoebe Bailey; Mother and Father In-law, Gertrude and Clement Williams; Brothers, Gideon, Archiable; Sister-in-law Mary Jane; Sister, Irene; Brother-in-law Wiliga and special friend, Sarah Gibbons. The funeral service will take place on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove with Rev. Gosse officiating. Interment to follow. The family would like to thank the staff of the John M. Gray Long Term Care Center in St. Anthony for all their wonderful work in caring for Mrs. Williams as well as all those who have helped her along the way.

PILGRIM, GUY VALENCE

In the early morning of December 8, 2020, at Curtis Memorial Hospital with his family at his side, Guy at the age of 77, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior who he loved and served faithfully from a young age. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be forever missed and always in our hearts. Guy grew up in Little Brehat and from a young age had the responsibility of the household after his mom passed away when he was only 12. From that, grew a love of cooking. After he grew up and left home, he went to college to complete a cooking trade. Guy worked in a variety of places with his trade, from the Newfoundland Railway to Grenfell Regional Health Services until his retirement in 2006, then went back to work at sea which he dearly loved. Guy met and married the love of his life, Joyce in 1969 and raised 2 boys in a loving home. He is forever remembered and loved by, devoted wife, Joyce; sons: Darin (Kristen) and Devin (Andrea); grandchildren: Zachary, Simon, Erica and Kate; brother, Melvin; sister, Jessie (Leonard) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Guy is predeceased by parents, Ethel and Hedley Pilgrim. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Guy’s memory to First Step Charity through their website at www.firststepcharity.com. Private visitation and Funeral Service to take place from Bethel Pentecostal Church in St. Anthony on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Elliott officiating. Interment to follow.

REARDON, MARY ANDREA

With great sadness we announce the passing of Mary Andrea Reardon (nee Rice). Mary passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4th, 2020 at Curtis Memorial Hospital with her family at her side. Left with a lifetime of fond memories, her Husband, Herb; Children, Connie (Jerome), Tanya (Junior), Melissa (Ross), Patrick (Caroline), Darren (Connie), and Chad; Grandchildren, Shae, Felicia, Samantha, Sarah, Sharron, Cole, Taylor Rae, Ty, Zachary, Kenny, Jesse, Jessica and Jordan; Great-grandchildren Allie and Jaxon; Sister, Ruth; Sisters-in-law, Ida (John), Mae (Wayne); Brothers-in-law, Be (Imelda), Louis (Norma), Eric (Eileen), Reuben Elliott as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents Hazel and William Rice; Brother, Eli; Sisters, Millie and Gladys; Son-in-law Louis; Her in-laws, Patrick and Agnes Reardon; Sister-in-law Mildred Sexton. Mary loved cooking Sunday dinners and regardless of whoever showed up at her house- there was always enough cooked for everyone. Mary also loved talking on the phone to her many friends. We are sure they miss her calls every day - and sometimes two or three times a day. Cremation has taken place with burial to be announced at a later date.

ELLIOTT, GEORGE EDWARD

George Edward Elliott
January 12, 1926 – November 24, 2020

George Met Mary Dyke When she travelled to Locke’s Cove as a schoolteacher, they married on June 26, 1946. Together they raised a family of eight children, 2 boys and six girls. George worked as a fisherman for most of his life. He always enjoyed telling stories and sharing memories of life in out-port Locke’s Cove. He was well known for his boat building and making snowshoes. Left to mourn Georges passing are his wife of 74 years Mary, Son Guy, Daughters Daphne Elliott, Melinda Mitchelmore, Marilyn Parrill, Wavey Strangemore, Juanita Elliott and Sharon Elliott, As well as 16 grandchildren, 22 Great grandchildren and 1 Great great grandchild. George was predeceased by his parents Lot and Rachael Elliott, Brothers Fred and Ernest Elliott, Sisters Grace Patey, Violet Loder and Gladys Elliott and his son Lloyd Elliott. The funeral Service took place on the 27th of November, 2020 at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Main Brook at 2:30pm. Funeral Service was officiated by Rev. Gosse, burial in the Anglican community cemetery followed. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

Ruby passed away November 22, 2020 from the John M. Gray Center in St. Anthony at the age of 82 years. She leaves to mourn: Daughters, Susan Richards (Scott Hedderson), Helen Pilgrim (Shannon Pilgrim), and Son, James Parsons (Teri). Grandchildren: Jennifer Boiduk (Mike), Justin Richards, Jamie Richards, Jasmine Richards, Isabella Pilgrim, Helena Pilgrim, Erika Parsons, Danny McFee, Keegan Parsons, Katie Parsons. Great-grandchildren: Sophie Richards, Sabrena Richards, Casey Boiduk, Grayson Parsons, Jason McFee. Siblings: Dorothy, Bill, Hazel, Amy, Watson, Roberta, Peter. Ruby was pre-deceased by: parents - James and Susan Tucker, siblings Cornelia, Effie Grace, Mary, Rose, Helen, Ethelyn, Harold, Stephen, James, Karl. The funeral service was held on November 25, 2020 at 2:00 pm from the St. Anthony United Church with Rev. Gerogina Parsons officiating. Interment followed in the Fishing Point United Cemetery. LEWIS, GERARD FRANCIS

Gerry passed away peacefully at Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital in St Anthony with his loving wife and close friends by his side. Gerry spent the majority of his years fishing and upon closure of the fishery, his newfound passion became commercial truck driving. He was an avid reader who collected many books and always had one on hand to pass on to someone else. Gerry was a humble man who enjoyed the simple things in life: puttering around in his shed, chopping wood, hunting and boating. His love for nature was evident by the many hours he spent watching wildlife and documentary shows. His well lived life, leaves us with many treasure memories that will comfort us in the days ahead.. With saddened hearts he leaves to mourn his wife Loretta, daughter Stephanie, son in law Kearney, his pride and joy “#1. Granddaughter” Emily, brothers Brian, Pat (Ratu), Gordon (Emily); brother-in-law Terry, and a large circle of nieces/nephews, extended family and friends. Gerry was predeceased by his parents Rose & Harry Lewis, brothers Jerome and Paul and loving sister Mary.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, funeral service will be announced at a future date.

He is predeceased by his Daughter, Peggy; Parents, Jane and William Noseworthy; Brothers, Clyde and Cecil; Sisters, Lucy and Suzanna. The funeral service took place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at St. Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove with Rev. Deacon Vernon Short officiating. Interment followed. Darlene passed away peacefully at Curtis Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 20th, 2020 at 1:45 am surrounded by loved ones. Darlene was born September 5th, 1961 to Stella and William Young of Rocky Harbour. On August 12th, 1983 she married Murdock Pilgrim and then had three beautiful children. Over the years Darlene spent her time raising her three children, baking bread and knitting stockings. She leaves to mourn her husband of 37 years, Murdock; her son, Curtis; her daughter, Miranda (James); grandchildren, Lily and Bronson; sisters, Wanda, Dale (Milo) and Pearl (Keith) and many nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her parents, William and Stella Young; parents-in-law, John Wesley and Clara Elizabeth Pilgrim; son, Wesley Byron Pilgrim; brother, John Young and many more brother-in-laws and sister-in laws. She is forever loved and remembered by, her Partner, Cody Roberts; Parents, John and Patty Crane; Grandmothers, Elizabeth Crane, Rosie Lawless; as well as a large circle of family, friends, and coworkers. She was predeceased by her Grandfathers, John A. Crane and Michael Lawless. Her viewing took place from Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home in St. Anthony. The funeral took place on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Deacon Vernon Short officiating. Interment followed in the Nameless Cove Roman Catholic Cemetery with Fr. Rossi officiating. KINSELLA, SAMUEL CYRIL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Samuel Kinsella announce his passing at the John M. Gray Center in St. Anthony, NL at the age of 82 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, May Kinsella (Nee Cull), Wife of 60 years; Daughter, Stephanie; Son, Samuel (Dawn); Daughter Brenda; Daughter, Kim (Michael); Daughter Roxanne (Scott); Grandchildren, Aimee Kinsella, Hayley Kinsella, Noah Coish, Allie Gardner; Brother, Harold (Edna); Sister, Shirley (Rod); Sister Phyllis (Gary); Brother, George (Juanita), as well as a large circle of Nieces and Nephews. He is predeceased by his father, George Kinsella (2004) and Mother, Roseanna Kinsella (nee Richards) (2009). Sam was a wonderful husband, father, and businessman. He and his Wife raised 5 children and ran 2 successful businesses for more than 30 years. He was a dedicated member of the Lions Club and enjoyed playing musical instruments including the organ and accordion. He was a self-made, successful businessman that was always there to help anyone in need. Due to Covid 19 restrictions the funeral will be by invitation only at the St. Mary’s Anglican Church in St. Anthony on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 officiated by Reverend Deacon Art Kinsella.
