GENGE, SUSANNA

Passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 18th day of February 2015. Mrs. Susanna Genge of Anchor Point was in her 91st year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Sheila Coles, Sons Tony(Sadie); Robert(Clara); Cyril(Julie); Sisters Donalda McDonald and Flora Murdock; Ten Grandchildren and Fifteen Great Grandchildren; Daughter-in-Laws Elizabeth and Ivy as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Harrison; sons Albert and Charlie; Daughter-in-law Marie, Son-in-Law Lambert Coles Sister Virtue and Parents Albert and Jessie Rose. Visitation was held at the St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Anchor Point from which the funeral service was held on Friday, February 20th, 2015 at 2:00pm with Rev. Irving Letto officiating. RANDELL, NAOMI

Naomi Randell, age 92 was born in Williamsport NL Dec 16, 1922. She passed peacefully away Friday Feb 6th, 2015 at The Angus Pratt Nursing Home in St. John's, NL.  Leaving to mourn her beloved children Freeman Randell, Eileen Evans (Dave), Scott Randell (Rae), Grant Randell (Bonetta) & Dean Randell (Debbie); her beloved grandchildren Ingrid Evans (Dave), Timothy Randell & Brett Gillard; Brother-in law Rueben Randell (Nellie); Nephew Craig Randell & Niece Karen Hann (Shane); along with a wide circle of family and friends. .   Predeceased by her husband Timothy Randell & Daughter Bernice Randell. Visitation was held at the United Church in Englee from which the funeral service took place on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 2:00pm. Interment followed at the New United Church Cemetery. LAWRENCE, SARAH EVANGELINE (EVA)

Born in St. Anthony on the 20th of March 1923 to Ambrose and Gertrude Sulley (Pynn) of St. Anthony, NL.  Eva married Joseph Horatio Lawrence of Port-aux-Basque, NL. on April 19, 1949, and together they had two sons, Dennis and Orville. She lived a full life with many accomplishments and pastimes, including completing her Teaching Diploma at Memorial University in St. Johns, teaching in northern Newfoundland at Griquet, Quirpon, Main Brook, and the Grenfell School in St. Anthony. Eva was best known for her support of the Curtis Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she actively participated in the gift shop, and continued knitting for the auxiliary up to the just a few days before her passing.  Eva was always an active woman, with interests in education and community service.  She was supportive in the Lions Club, Athletic Club and the Hospital auxiliary. Eva passed away peacefully on February 6th, 2015 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony with her family by her side, at the great age of 91.  Left to mourn are her sons Dennis and Orville, 5 Grandchildren, Matthew Joseph, Ryan Everett, Reginald Joseph, Olivia Marie, Julia Sarah Anne, Daughter-in-Law, Kelly Lawrence, Sister Gloria Marshall and Sister-in-Law Emily Sulley as well as close family, Don and Linda Loder, Karla Loder, Lee Hillier and Shirley Farrell, Brother-in-Law Fred Lawrence, Sisters-in-Laws Shirley Yard and Clarinda Lawrence. Eva was predeceased by her loving husband Joe, parents Ambrose and Gertrude Sulley, Brothers Robert (Bob), Russ Sulley, as well as her sister Zilda Hillier.  In the last year, Eva was blessed with wonderful care from the Hospital Staff (1st Floor), Home Care (all the personal touches) and her many friends and the Great Staff at Shirley’s Haven, she loved you all. Visitation is being held at The Funeral Home in St. Anthony, Followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am on Tuesday February 10th, 2015  from the St. Anthony United Church with Rev. Dinesh Gomes officiating. A private interment will follow on Wednesday February 11, 2015 at 4:00pm at the Fishing Point Cemetery in St. Anthony.  Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Kerry M. Passed away peacefully at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 30th of January 2015, Mrs. Blanche Effie Burt of St. Anthony in her 93rd year. Blanche leaves to mourn her loss; her daughter Marilyn, grandchildren Christopher and Heidi, Special nephew/niece Roland and Effie, Special Niece/ Husband Gloria and Doug, Special nephew/ Wife Vince and Jessie, Brother in law Cecil Burt, special friends Evelyn Walker and Vera Colbourne. She is predeceased by her Husband Reuben, Son in law Tony, Parents William and Susan Coates, brothers Nathaniel Coates, John Thomas Coates, William Coates, Gorden Coates, Thomas Coates and Philip Coates, Sisters Alice Mitchelmore, Rebecca Diamond, Lorie Parrill, Margaret Coates, Mary Elizabeth Caines, Eliza McLean, Sarah Jane Gibbons and Amy McLean, In laws James and Winnifred Burt, Sister in laws Minnie Compton and Mary Ann Patey. Visitation was held at the Funeral home in St. Anthony, after which the Funeral Service took place at the Salvation army Church in St. Anthony at 2:00pm on Wednesday February 4th, 2014 with Major Dinzel Baggs Officiating.  Funeral arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M. BROMLEY, HAROLD

Passed peacefully away at the Western Memorial Regional Health in Corner Brook on Jan.24th 2015.  Mr. Harold Bromley of Fish Head Island was in his 74th year. Leaving to mourn one Son Darrin (Debbie) three grandchildren, Corey, Travis, and Kindra. Three nieces’ one nephew Loretta Casey (Steve) Mary McCarthy, Jacinta (Lawrence) Gerard (Juanita) Clarence Mason A large number of grand and great grand Nieces, Nephews, Relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his Mom and Dad Rose and Arthur Bromley, Sister Mary and brother in law Herbert and niece Rose. Visitation was held at the St. Edwards church Grandois, from which the funeral Mass was held at 11:00am on Thursday the 29th of January 2015 with Fr. Vitus Echedo officiating. Passed peacefully away at the Rufus Guinchard Health Center on the 23rd of January 2015. Mrs. Rosanna Applin of Shoal Cove West was in her 97th year. She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of loving memories her Daughters Susan Baines, Dora Sinnicks, Bessie McClean(Cliff), Sons Eric Applin (Prescilla) and Garland Applin(Marina), Grandchildren Vira Way(Glenn), Cavelle Gordon(Neil), Amanda McClean, Henry Plowman(Sarah), Jason Plowman(Shelby), Priscilla Genge(Roy), Craig Sinnicks(Penny), Jasmine Applin(Brian), Corwin Applin(Nicole), Great – Grandchildren Hailey, Breana, Hannah, Kayla, Jaxson, Natasha, Brian, Kolton, Jasper, Agnelica, Candice, Hayden, Kolby, Carter, and Ethan as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Eric, Daughter Sarah, Sons Stan, Ben, Jasper, Ivan, and Tom, Granddaughter Darlene, Grandsons Ramsey, Dale, Brian, and her parents Harry and Jane Coates. Visitation was held at the St. Margaret’s Anglican Church in Reef’s Harbour from which the funeral service was at 11:00am on Tuesday January 27th, 2015 with Rev. Harold Harvey and Lay Reader Bernice Baines officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. HILLIER, ZILDA IHOLA

Passed away unexpectedly at the Health Science Center in St. John’s on January 21, 2015. Mrs. Zilda Hillier of St. Anthony in her 82nd year. Leaving to mourn; son Rene (Doreen),daughter Lee, grandchildren Kyrie and Sean, sisters Eva Lawrence and Gloria Marshall (Rick Adams), sisters in law Emily Sulley and Blanche Coates, many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by husband Herbert, parents Gertrude and Ambrose Sulley, brothers Robert and Russell Sulley. Her zest for life and her kindness will be remembered. Visitation took place a Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service which was held on Monday January 26, 2015 at 2:00pm with Rev. Fr. Paul Findlay officiating. Passed away peacefully at the John M. Gray Center on the 24th day of January 2015. Mr. James (Jimmy) Acreman of St. Anthony was in here 89th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires his Brother John (Dorothy) Acreman of St. John’s; Sister-in-Law Dorothy Acreman of Gander; Niece Margie Acreman, Nephews Ralph, Dennis, and Robert, his friend Kevin Simms as well as his neighbours, staff and friends at the Shirley’s Haven. He was predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Harriet Acreman of St. Anthony, Brother Benjamin in Gander. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service was held at the United Church in St. Anthony at 2:30pm on Monday January 26th , 2015 with Rev. Dinesh Gomes officiating. Interment took place at the Fishing Point Untied Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Center on the 20th day of January 2015.Mrs. Lottie King of St. Anthony was in her 77th year. She leaves to mourn her children Roy(Cavell), Eddie(Lisa), Peggy(Baxter), Rick(Lynn), Morgan(Muriel), Grandchildren Christopher, Michael, Jessie, Dayna, Benjamin, William, Jenna, Great- Grandchildren Jacob and Evelyn, Sister Irene(Reginald Elliott), Brother-in-Law Lewis Biles and Graham Richards, Special Niece Loretta Hussey, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, as well as a large circle of friends. She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Clara Patey, Sisters Ivy King, Rosie Biles, and Elsie Richards. Visitation was held at the funeral home followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm on the 24th day of January 2015 with Rev. Dinesh Gomes officiating. Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Center on the 19th January 2015. Mr. Thomas Penney of Cook's Harbour was in his 82nd year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children Violet(Garry), Walter(Linda), and Gorden, Grandchildren Vanessa, Jonathon, Jordan(Jessica), Sheila, and Wilson, Great Grandchildren Gabriel and Jada, Sister Rosie, Brother Elam(Margarite), Brother-in-Law Warrick, special friends Gerald Elliott, Wayne Pittman, and Alex Smith as well as a large circle of family and firneds. He was predeceased by his Wife Susie, Sister Hazel, Brother-in-Law John, Parents Albert Edward Penney and Elizabeth Stevens. Visitation was held at the St. Matthews Anglican Church in Cook's Harbour from which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on Thursday January 22nd, 2015 with Rev'd Fr. Paul Findlay officiating.
