 Passed away form this life to the next at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 27th of December, 2014, Mrs. Cinderella Toope of Black Duck Cove in her 66th year. always a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, she did everything she could for her family, she loved to play cards and pick berry's. Left behind to mourn her loss are Wilson Toope her husband, her daughter Mamie Elle (Randy), Her sons James (Holly), Wilson Jr. her granddaughters Sacha and Brooklyn her grandson Sean, brother Jake (Jane), Sister Caroline (Walter Sr. ). although not old herself, she lived to see the passing of her father Frederick and Mother Mathilda, her father in law James and Mother in law Mary. Visitation was held at St. Mary's Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove, From Which the Funeral service was held at 2:00pm on December 31st, 2014 with Rev. Harold Harvey officiating. burial followed the service in the Black Duck Cove Anglican cemetery. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger Funeral Director. 

NEWCOMBE, HONORA

Passed away on Dec. 27, 2014, Honora Newcombe, in her 89th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories brothers John (Effie) Scanlon, and Joseph (Marian) Scanlon; sisters Susanne Thynne, Florence Johnson and Rita Offery; and special niece Honora (Carter) Taylor. Also grieving her death while holding fond memories of her life in their hearts, are a wide circle of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John, parents Joseph and Mary Ann Scanlon and brothers Elias and Jerry. Visitation took place at Sacred Heart Church in Bartlett’s Harbour from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31 with Fr. Britto officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director. 

TOOPE, RAYMOND

Passed away peacefully at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 24th of December, Mr Raymond Toope of Black Duck Cove in his 77th year. Raymond Leaves to mourn his passing his Daughter Mary Rachel (Bruce), Grandson Raymond (Jackie), Great grandson Ethan, Brothers Jim (Jessie), Jacob, Mark (Emelene), Tom (Dulcie), Walter (Caroline), Sisters Emily, Maria, Brother in law Calvin, Sister in law Virginia, as well as a large circle of family and friends.  Raymond was predeceased by his wife Enid, Parents Virginia, John and Emmanuel, Brothers Jacob, Wilfred, Sisters in law Nina, Vivian, Pauline and kit, Brothers in law Nelson, George, Carl, nephew in law Dolph and parents in law Walter and Maria. Visitation was held at the St. Mary's Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Sunday December 28th 2014 with Rev. Harold Harvey Officiating. burial followed the service at the Anglican Cemetery in Black Duck Cove, Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. KENNEDY, AGNES

Passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 24, 2014, with all her loving family by her side, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, Agnes Kennedy, in her 90th year. She leaves behind with fond and loving memories her sons John Kennedy (Lily) and Rodney Kennedy (Elizabeth); daughter Lorie Kennedy; grandson Perry Kennedy (Chianna); granddaughters Tara Mahar (Jordan), Viki Kennedy (Mark), and April Kennedy; greatgrandsons Jamal Kennedy, and Nathan Kennedy; brother Michael Mahar; sister Isabel Kennedy, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Kennedy, parents Michael and Catherine Mahar, sisters Evangeline Caines, Mary Ann Mahar, Catherine Mahar and Josephine Mahar, and brothers Christopher Mahar and Peter Mahar. Visitation took place at Our Lady of Grace Church in Bird Cove from where the funeral service was held on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. with Fr. Britto Adaikalam officiating. Interment followed in the Roman Catholic Cemetery at Bird Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director. 

DECKER, JANIE

Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Centre on Dec. 16, 2014, Mrs. Janie Jemima Decker of St. Anthony in her 87th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires her son Jim (Seamon); her daughters Ann (Mathew), Patty (Scott), and Allison; her grandchildren Kris, Sarah, Isaac, Ethan, and Levi; great-grandson Kayden as well as a large circle of other family and friends. Janie was the last departing member of her family. Her visitation took place at the funeral home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service which was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19 with Reverend Dinesh Gomes officiating. Interment followed at the Fishing Point United Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director. 

WILCOX, EVELYN WAVEY

Passed Away into peace on December 11th, 2014 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial, Mrs. Evelyn Wavey Wilcox of Roddickton in her 67th year. Evelyn leaves to mourn, her husband Melvin (Roddickton), Sons Morris & Darlene Wilcox (Roddickton), Benson & Philomena Wilcox (Main Brook), Eddie & Pearl Wilcox (Grand Falls), Bradley Wilcox (Grande Prairie, AB). Daughters Valda & Raymond Hancock (Roddickton), Dina Hancock (Roddickton), Linda and Edward Hancock (Roddickton) sister Susie Hancock (Roddickton), as well as 14 Grand children, 3 Great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation was held at the Apostolic Faith Church in Roddickton, From which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Sunday December 14th with rev. Christopher R. Hewlett officiating. burial followed the service at the Church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. PARRILL, EFFIE

Passed peacefully away at Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Dec. 10, 2014.  Effie Parrill was in her 67th year.  She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of memories her children Holly (Jim), Chris (Della) and Marjorie (Peter); Grandchildren Thomas, Emily, Ramsey and Brooklyn; Sister Laverne(Arthur) Genge; Brothers-in-law; Sisters-in-law; Nieces; Nephews; as well as a large circle of family and friends.  She was predeceased by her parents William and Marjorie Chambers; Parent-in-law Gilbert and Miriam Parrill.  Visitation took place at St. Boniface Anglican Church in Bear Cove from where the funeral took place on Dec 13, 2014 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon with Rev Irving Letto officiating.  Interment followed in the Anglican Cemetery in Pines Cove.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to KM Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.  

HYNES, KEVIN

Kevin was born on April 13th, 1964 to Hazel and Edward Hynes in St. Anthony NL. during his short life, Kevin had much sickness, He loved to salmon fish and take road trips with his buddies, he enjoyed the simple things. Kevin Passed away in to peace on the 9th of December, 2014 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 50 years. left to mourn his passing are his brothers and sisters Peggy (Ronald), Joan (Boyd), Terry (Delores), Donna (Greg), Eddie (Erdie), Lee, Wayne (Bonnie), nephews philip, Michael, Derick, Chris, Stephanie, Robin, aunt Martha and Uncle Don, Adam, Hazel, Paul, Sabrina, Smantha, Annalee, Emily, Tiara, Michaela, Riley, Charlotte, Thomas, Thea, Thorden, Charles, Anjelika, Abigail, Dominick And Avery, a large circle of friends especially his buddies Glen Pilgrim and Frank Simms and "Buddy " His cat.  In his short life he seen the passing of his parents Hazel and Edward, his grand parents Mary and James Patey, Charles and Janet Hynes and his niece Cheryl-Dee. Visitation was held at the Funeral home in St. Anthony, after which the funeral service took place at The St. Mary's Anglican Church in St. Anthony with Rev'd Fr. Paul C. Findlay Officiating. Cremation followed the Service with burial to be announced at a later date. Funeral services Were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director. 

CUNARD, PHYLLIS

Passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 7th day of December 2014. Mrs. Phyllis Cunard of Brig Bay was in her 58th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Eli, Son Jason(Tina), Daughter Jessica, Grandchild Austyn, her parents Stanley and Amy Coates, Brothers Kevin(Dorothy), Dennis(Lilly), Jun(Emma), sisters Bernette and Valerie(Leon),  Brothers-in-law, Sisters-in-law, Nieces, Nephews, as well as a large circle of  family and friends. She was predeceased by her Parents-n-Law, Brothers-in-Law and Sisters-in-Law. Visitation was held at the St. Andrew’s Anglican church in Lower Cove from which the funeral service was held on Thursday December 11th, 2014 at 11:00am with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Cemetery in Eddies Cove East.

COLBOURNE, IDA HAZEL

Passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial hospital on the 3rd day of December 2014. Mrs. Ida Hazel Colbourne of Roddickton was in her 78th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving  husband  Wesley,  Sons Garry (Violet), Alvin, Lorne (Lucinda), Austin, Terry (Belinda), Keith (Lisa), Daughters Ivy (Guy), Rita(Stephen), Wavey, Twenty-Three Grandchildren, Thirteen  Great Grandchildren, Brothers Pleamon(Leah), Wilfred(Iona), Barry(Viviann as well as a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Roy and Cinderella Pollard, Son Wesley, Sisters Annie Hopkins and Dena Pollard, Brothers Hubert Pollard, Jim Pollard and Stafford Pollard. Visitation was held at the Calvary Pentecostal Temple in Roddickton from which the funeral service was held on Sunday December 7th 2014 at 2:00pm with Pastor Benjamin Brown officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard funeral director.
