It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Gladys Rachel Elliott on July 19, 2013. Gladys Rachel Elliott was in her 86th year.  She also leaves to mourn, her brother George, her sister-in-law Dora Loder.  She also leaves to mourn many special nieces and nephews, a large group of friends, including her friends at Anglican Church Women’s League.  She is predeceased by her parents, Rachel and Lot Elliott, her brothers Fred and Ernest, her sisters Grace and Violet.  She leaves behind with many cherised and happy memories her ‘darling’ husband, Wilfred, of 61 years,  her sons Neil (Marie), Roy and Wayne (Bride), her grandchildren Christopher, Michelle, Allison, Kurt, Stephen and Adam, and her great granddaughter, Sophie. Visitation was held at Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home on Monday July 22nd, 2013 2-4 and 7-9 from which the Funeral service took place on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 2 pm at St. Mary’s Anglican Church with Fr. Rev Paul Findlay officiating. Cremation followed after the service. In lieu of flowers Donations gratefully accepted to the Anglican Church Cemetery Fund. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

ELLSWORTH, DENIKA "ANGLE"

Taken from this life at the young age of 26, Ms. Denika “Angle” Ellsworth of Englee, at the Health Science Center in St. John’s on the 13th of July 2013. Denika leaves behind to celebrate the memories of her beautiful life; her Mother Joyce Ellsworth, Father George Ellsworth, Sister Beverley Lane, Brother Philip Ellsworth, many Aunts, Uncles Cousins and a large circle of Family and Friends.  Visitation was held at the Pentecostal Calvary Tabernacle in Englee, from which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on 18th of July 2013 with Pastor Sansome officiating. It is with great sadness that the Simmonds family announce the passing of our darling mother, Mary Jane Simmonds peacefully at her home on Saturday July 13th at the age of 87. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons Wilfred, Tom (Rose), Ron (Loretta). Daughters Nellie (Gerald), Alice (Tony), Bridget (Gary), Joan, Angela (Gerard), Doreen and brother in law, Gerald Fitzgerald and great friends, Ida and cousin Rose and niece Therese and Hilda. Grandchildren Glenn (Jackie), Vanessa (Travis), Janey (Calvin), Reginald, Angela (Lawrence), Amanda, Tommy, Nadine, Nikita, Ryan, Jason (Myrna), Rhonda (Craig), Jamie ( Jessica), Brian (Erin), Perry (Nicola), Jodie, Alex (Vaida), Gerard (Tina), Marylee (Daniel) and the fur babies Cooper and Barkley. Great grandchildren Mikayla, Jack, Grace, Janelle, Liam, Chloe, Kylie, and Cole. A large circle of nephews, nieces, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence, son Gerard, and grandson Andrew,  parents Ellen and Thomas Hunt, brothers Herbert (Nora), Patrick (Margaret). Sisters Laura (Bernard), Carmel (Ronald) and Doreen. Sister in laws Margaret (James), Nellie, Bride (Walter). Brother in laws Peter, Jack (Kathleen), and Micheal (Elizabeth). Visitation was held at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Conche from which the funeral mass was held at 2:00pm on the 16th day of July 2013 with Father Vitus Echedo officiating. Passed away peacefully at the John M. Gray Center on the 28th of June, 2013, Mrs Cicely Applin of Pigeon Cove NL. At the age of 80 years. Left behind with many cherished memories are her children Goldie (Scott), Eileen (Alton), Evelyn (John), Barry (Pam), and Wade (Alvina).  As well as 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 5 brothers, 4 sisters and special family members Hilda Randell and Brandon Kelly, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband George 1993. Visitation took place at the Edgar Applin Sr. Memorial church in Pigeon Cove, from which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on the 1st of July with Reverend John McGonigle, DM officiating burial followed the service in the united Church Cemetery in Black Duck Cove. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jean
Nicholas, born June 15, 1955 in St. Anthony, announce her
sudden passing on May 31, 2013 in a tragic vehicle accident.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her
spouse Chris; her son Nicholas (Renée); sister Colleen
(Manuel); brother David (Claudine); father Albert, and her
nephew Christopher (Amy). Also in mourning is a large circle
of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her
mother Lillian. She touched the lives of many and she will
be dearly missed. Visitation took place Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral
Home in St. Anthony. The funeral service took place at
St. Mary’s Anglican Church at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4
with Fr. Rev. Paul Findaly officiating followed by burial in
the St. Anthony Anglican Cemetery. Funeral services were
